#121 I agree wholeheartedly with 66% of this.
The NAZI sentence reveals either a lack of understanding, a willingness not to understand or perhaps a brainwashed, believer in the billionaire press moguls daily spew.
Not convinced that this government will last 5 years.

You Grace. I was satirising Jezza's recent comments on Venezuela where he finds himself unable to condemn Maduro. See non-billionaire press here:-

I know perfectly well what you were alluding to, o Capt, my Capt.
Care to satirise Mrs May's stance of selling Yemeni-bombing Saudi Arabia any arms they fancy?

I believe the Saudis are supporting the internationally recognise government of the Yemen against the Iranian backed Houthi movement.
Fortunately, with logistical and intelligence support from the US, UK and France, under 8,000 people have been killed over the past two years, which in the scale of things is not that many. (Just over twice the rate of road deaths in the UK)

I take it those deaths are as a collateral damage figure of innocent deaths. What about the larger issue of damage to infrastructure which has caused starvation, cholera (which, according to OXFAM, more than 300,000 people are now infected with and REUTERS have at nearly 400,000). More 'second wave collateral' A child in Yemen dies of preventable diseases every 10 min, according to UNICEF, and Save the Children has reported that the lack of medical supplies and staff has caused an additional 10,000 preventable child deaths per year since 2015. No, I wouldn't satirise Mrs May's stance on selling Yemeni-bombing Saudi Arabia either.

The 1922 Committee are set to adopt a new decision-making process when the Tories call time on May. Simpler than the present method, it is based on a democratic model first successfully trialled in Sub-Saharan Africa:

Certainly not to be sniffed at, but it could put some noses out of joint.

I suggest that there is a case to be made in favour of Mr Johnson becoming the next leader: it would make voting in the next General Election so much easier by dramatically lowering the bar that leaders of other parties have to beat.

Quite a ticking off from the headmaster. Unfortunately there's no shot of the gobby boy's smug mug turning a deep shade of red:

Some gentlemen on here would do well to follow the advice of the Speaker. ("I hope I've made the position extremely clear to those that are not well-informed about such matters.")

I really don't see what is sexist about the comment, just comes across as normal House of Commons banter.

I refer you to this.
Sexism or gender discrimination is prejudice or discrimination based on a person's sex or gender. Sexism can affect anyone, but it is particularly documented as affecting women and girls. It has been linked to stereotypes and gender roles, and may include the belief that one sex or gender is intrinsically superior to another. Extreme sexism may foster sexual harassment, rape, and other forms of sexual violence.

#138 Oh dear...when are member's names EVER mentioned in the Houses of Parliament? Furthermore, when are they ever referred to as a name they don't identify with?

#135 et seq: with regard to use of the term 'gentlemen', I think I recall reading howard mcsweeney1's wish to be addressed as Ms Howard. One can only hope that that forumite has broad shoulders like Ms Thornberry.

I would not say it was sexism more like rudeness after all she is a Lady/lady, but it was Buffoon Boris so not entirely surprising.
