Don't have much confidence in her over the Brexit issue. Stated clearly that article 50 will not be invoked util next year but still visits the leading lights in the EU despite it being made clear that no discussions can take place without it.

Shrewd Lady, shrewd move Howard.
It reinforces the contention that we are leaving the EU not Europe, not European businesses and not the European peoples. It keeps the pressure on EU officials to secure a good BREXIT deal. After all, despite the recent comment from Shultz regarding EU control of participating member States to deter or supress nationalistic tendencies, EU countries have businesses that want to deal with us despite what difficulties the likes of Junckers or Shultz might wish to put in their way. Sour grapes, bad losers and loss of controlling power comes to mind.
Hence their recent noises wanting to impose more and more central control over member states.

The latest opinion poll shows the Tories with a 14% lead over Labour which inevitably will cause speculation on whether the PM should call an early General Election and get a good working majority in the Commons. I don't see this happening as Jezza looks set for a landslide victory in his leadership election making him a much stronger leader of the opposition and with boundary changes 30 labour seats are set to be abolished. Taking it all into consideration it seems certain that Mrs May will be in charge until 2025.

Playing a dangerous game reneging on the big reason many people voted out.

She’s under big lobbying to keep all the cheap labour for business.
The doors are still wide open.

Totally agree Howard, she had better watch herself if she really believes that people who voted for Brexit will accept and be happy with "an element of control" or "some" control regarding EU immigration. She is completely deluded if she honestly believes that. The electorate are getting fed up being taken for mugs and having their wishes ignored. This smacks of shades of Cameron, I expected better from her but am not completely surprised.
Keith is correct, the doors are still wide open with no real sign of them ever closing. Roll on the next general election!

On the night of the Referendum the exit polls suggested I had voted the wrong way so went to bed disappointed but accepting the will of the people. When I rose about 4 pm(already light so couldn't sleep any longer) it came to pass that we had voted to leave.
The vote was close 52% - 48% but governments only need 37% in our country!!
The incessant whining from people and politicians that hate the idea of people making decisions of their own is anti democratic and is tantamount to snobbery as the chattering classes feel they know best.
The establishment is in control and sadly I feel full Brexit will not happen due to the majority of us being used to being talked down to.
Apologies for the rant.

Its interesting that when we talk about the referendum vote and the mood of MPs it is somehow wrong of them to want to oppose the "will of the people" by which we mean those who voted Leave; but it is somehow ok for MPs in the Labour Party to oppose the will of those who voted Corbyn in as leader by a much larger majority.
It appears for many in the UK, including those in positions of power and influence, that "democracy" is a moveable feast.
On a more specific point, whatever the Tories end up negotiating as the terms for leaving the EU it will ultimately destroy them as a political force as the compromises they will make will be unacceptable to all factions within their "broad church" and potentially to the wider electorate. In parallel the Labour party is likely to split in two due to the clear idealogical differences between the broader party membership and the PLP, These two things together will lead us to a long series of coalition governments as the second tier parties (UKIP, Lib Dems & the Nationalists) are either busted flushes or geographically limited so cannot on their own garner sufficient support to create a majority government.
Brexit should be an opportunity to genuinely solve the real problems this nation faces not the symptoms that the media and politicians want you to focus on, however with the paucity of imagination that is rife amongst all our current parties and politicians it will sadly be a missed opportunity.

She is at it again having appointed David Davis to oversee the exit negotiations she then rebukes him over the all important single market issue, saying it is not government policy. Why did she appoint him if he cannot make a decision? The other member states are now getting irate over the issue as they want to move on but cannot.
Like Ross I believe the future will be about coalitions(not a bad thing in my view) with Labour and the Tories split into two. I don't see UKIP as a busted flush just yet if they get a decent leader they can go on to pick up more of the traditional Labour vote.

The blues will stay in power for the next ten years or more and lets face it they are by far the better party. And I am not in that party or any party not did I vote .

The biggest political bomb on the horizon is people not being able to afforded a roof over their heads . the Tory’s will be blamed for not building truly affordable housing and the labour party will be blamed for supporting the mass inflow of immigrants demanding what we have .

I can't help but feel that the Prime Minister has engineered this situation so that leaving the EU never happens.

More words but nothing substantial I suspect that we will still be discussing the trigger date this time next year.

That is alright if you believe here but she waffles away on any subject - a good example is her views on secondary education, she wants Grammar schools but not everywhere!!
