Love the name of thisgroup.
There will be two demonstrations by various groups every month in Dover, starting from April. This country is full. We cant look after our own people and Syria is not our problem. They need to clear "the jungle" and deport them all back where they came from. If they realise there is no soft touch here then they wont keep trying to come. Until then, we keep demonstrating. Oh and if you want to stop the violence, al you have to do is stop the violent left from attending on the same day. Its not rocket salad. #5w Stacey xxx

Pie and Mash Squad
Pie and Mash Squad Obviously because it is symbolic, and its the gateway into Britain and is where the residents of the jungle have been slipping into our land unchallenged for years in the back of lorries. The Governments response was to impose fines on our lorry drivers, who every day are being threatened and having stones thrown at them. Something needs to be done and the focus of many groups is on Dover and will stay on Dover until something is done. We don't go there for violence but we wont stand there and allow ourselves to be pelted with bricks. If police want to maintain order all they have to do is remove the left wing as I said. We have a democratic right to protest.
Pie and Mash Squad
Pie and Mash Squad There are going to be flash (unanounced) demos as well by various groups. Its gonna be a long hot summer xxx

Oh dear Kent Anti Racism Network have decided to get clever. They will have a convoy of vehicles taking humanitarian supplies over to Calais on the 2nd of April and they have done their homework by planning to arrive in Dover hours before the ferry they are booked on leaves giving enough time for their thugs to take on the others for a bit of entertainment which both sides enjoy and we all abhor.

That second banner in post 4 displaying support from gays and lesbians to all migrants could backfire with some of the welcoming party being thrown off of high rise buildings then being stoned to death if they survive.

Might as well close the town down on the 2nd April Facebook has so many groups(too many to mention) that intend to cause havoc on that day. It really calls for an elite group from the Metropolitan police to keep things under control.

On the plus side I was listening to local NHS Foundation Trust tonight saying that Buckland Hospital is not being used as much as they would like! I didn't dare ask them about their staffing levels for April ...........

There certainly seems to be a lot of unused space up there, plenty of opportunities for junior doctors to practice their skills on the 2nd of April.

Thank goodness there is unused space up there otherwise we'd already be having to plan for extending?

Noticed earlier that Rooks are not opening on Saturday due to the demonstration, don't think they have any shutters for their windows though.

Rooks are not the only ones and the blame is with the police for letting the thing carry on.

I understand the Police have told the 8 Bells to shut for the duration of the festivities...
I am also reliably informed that the Police plan to install "portable" concrete fecning along Folkestone Road to prevent access to Dover College, Effingham Crescent, the steps up to Military Road etc. not sure of the cost or how effective that will be....

Just had a visit from the police. They are advising 'business as usual' but to use plastic drinking vessels instead of glass. I gather the focus of the demo will be York St and the junction with Townwall St, from where the right wingers will proceed peacefully to the docks.
Police numbers will be approximately double what they were last time.

There seemed to be enough police officers the last time so doubling up should stop any problems escalating but never underestimate counter protesters.
Wonder how much this will cost the Kent council tax payers?
