According to their Wikipedia entry the party wants to stop people distributing free copies of the Koran which seems to go against generally accepted western values.

That’s a shame, wish they’d do that here, I’ve heard that they’re just the job for starting off the old bonfire come spring/summer!

Where would you draw the line John? Gideon Bibles are left in hotel rooms, JW devotees spread literature everywhere, local churches post their info through my letter box and aggressive atheists post their views on advertising hoardings and buses.
Thankfully we live in a free society where those of all faiths and none are at liberty to propound their views.

Quite right Howard, but personally I’d burn all of them, whatever anybody else wants to do with such literature is up to them of course, as you correctly say, thankfully we live in a free society but that would be my choice.

Until, that is, we start burning books.

Burning books can never be good. I mean, if you ban all books like Hitler did, a stupid person will just wait for the first opportunity to get his opinionless head brainwashed again!
You either have a strong immunity to brainwashing, or you don’t.
There’s the internet. Why do you need books. The average Pinko can just go and read online all day and if he isn’t bright enough to stop — it’s his fault really.

If the far right try for a violent revolution, it is worth them remembering that the UN peacekeepers will intervene AND which countries provide the most peacekeepers, historically and currently...

So does Saudi Arabia allow churches to be built? Would they allow Christian literature of whatever denomination to handed around on their streets? Unfortunately the sad truth is we do not live in a free society if we are so free why are there so many laws over the years passed to prevent opposition to the decline of our culture traditions and way of life?

Well, that's because Saudi Arabia is an Islamic theocracy and forbids non-Islamic religious practice. Are you suggesting that what you call 'the decline of our culture traditions and way of life' would benefit from, or indeed be reversed by, a similarly prohibitive Christian theocracy? And what are these 'culture traditions and way of life' exactly?

Never had you down as a born again Christian John normally they walk about wild eyed with a smug smile on their boat race.
Still if a sinner like you can be saved there is hope for the rest of us infidels.

That’s right Howard, I’ve seen the light at last, albeit a bit late in life, but better late than never eh?
If you’re up for conversion I have plenty of literature that I can send you!
( perhaps old Bish has had an effect on me? )

Well, I see the new Austrian regime's political objectives have quickly had an effect on the nation's cultural life. At today's Neujahrskonzert the Wiener Philharmoniker's female representation was down to six from last year's astonishing high of, er... eleven (out of some 100 musicians: you do the maths). The others had been sent back to their kitchens to iron dirndls and bake strudel. On the other hand, the musical fare was not at all totalitarian; I mean, there were waltzes by Strauss, and Strauss, and, er... Strauss.
As a protest, I've informed the new Chancellor (Mistah Kurz - he dead to me) that I will not be pre-registering for the 2019 concert. Instead, I'm going to take a punt on a little Wagner at Bayreuth. I can't see anything going wrong in Germany after all.

You could always join my carer and I at Longborough over the next six years?
