If you just look back a few posts you will see I asked Mr Ripley to stop adding fuel to the fire, and talk to me on a one to one base, that has not happen,so when I come back in I will show you and prove yet again how bad the running of a good party with good hard working unpaid members is, and also part of it is a worry to myself and upseting and I was not going to go public with it but Mr Ripley has place me a postion that I feel that it must be told,All this is not helping the party, and other partys will pick up on it as we have already seen on this forum and use it,so yet again the party can ring me on my m/phone or see me later in the day so all this can be sorted out behind closed doors and we can get back working with each other for the good of the party in and around Dover. But I know this will not happen so I will be carrying this on but no wish to.But all the time I am made out to be telling lies I will fight it.Thank you This might even now go outside this forum and Dover and that again is very sad.I with others have worked for the good of the party for some years now and done like others workers in all partys that goes for Mr K/S as well 100s of hours going round the streets door by door even sometimes we would meet up and he would help me with puting UKIP papers in doors with his own to help my legs,it was all good fun but sad it has ended up like this. Thank you.

Interesting thread this, I can't help thinking Keith is a bit concerned about UKIP's impact.
In the hope of serious debate, which of their policies do you disagree with Keith?

I can only add that by looking at the posts from mr Ripley and the latest from Alexander that the old UKIP Dover branch was scrapped, and a new branch set up?
BUT with non members getting membership lists(if this is correct) then that would be a worry

UKIP believes in a fairer, simpler, flatter tax system which would cost less to administer and gain more in revenue, especially from the better-off. We would take everyone earning the minimum wage out of tax altogether
What about that Keith - good idea?

To make up for the loss of revenue in the minimum wage bracket they would have to re-increase the top bracket at the very least, yet 31 per cent is proposed as the top rate.
Also struggling to see how it would "cost less to administer" just by losing one bracket

the theory is that the total tax take would be higher with a lower top rate making up any shortfall.

ukip will
£160 billion will be coming from the cutting of quangos something promise by the conservatives but never delivered.
The gravy trains of Westminster and the EU will be butchered
The dismantling of the charity tax con will end , this used mostly by the rich to avoid tax.
All non UK citizens will have to apply for work permits,
Them that are doing jobs that UK unemployed can do, will need to go so we can get UK people back in to work.
The benefit savings from this will be massive, Training and re-skilling for jobs will be mandatory to benefits,
The parking of our young people on benefits is not Acceptable

I am quite happy to share with you Brian although I intend to spend virtually the whole lot of my share amongst family, friends and good causes.

Of course it will Howard because we never learn.
Have a google of the tax/economic situation in HK and Singapore and tell me why we shouldn't follow them.
Only the triballists have the answer

Welcome to the forum,Jamie Rose of the Dover Express....By the way, good interview last week...David and Keith, you are correct...Lower taxes promote growth..It worked for Reagan in the U.S.A in the 70s' and 80s' But Government spending has to be reduced...For instance merge N.I. with Income tax. So there is only one income tax not two..The bottom line saving is less pen pushers..Cut out,Ofgem ,Of wat,Ofcom..All useless regulators ...Cut out overseas aid.

-Many tax rises, for the medium term
-Immediate addition of higher bands to Council Tax
-Introduction of Land Value Tax, with the total taxation regime readdressed
I also like Peter's ideas of catching out those using licensing payment to dodge corporation tax.
We certainly have also to grasp the nettle of keeping the workforce trained and educated.
And, of course, we remain in the EU!
