I doubt that UKIP would want a quick referendum, a poll last week showed support from the public for the EU at a 20 year high.

Yes thats four chairmans from the time they took over from me.
It is not a easy job at times trying to keep all members happy and going down the same rd.
But must say I did like doing it and still miss it but time moves on.

Desperate stuff from Elphicke and Waddilove, he left nearly 2 years ago, virtually nobody at the branch has heard of him.

Ian Waddilove joined here about 2 years ago and posted that he was looking forward to joining in the debates, that was the first and last time he posted.
Who is the new chairperson and who does the local facebook page ?

You are not reading it right.
The chairman who has just Quit is a Mr Price who had only been in that job a few weeks.

Two completely separate issues. Ian Waddilove was chairman in the past, Chris Price is just the latest one to quit.

UKIP South Thanet have a foot in mouth moment that will upset their leader who is currently 5 points behind the blue candidate there.

Mr Ian Waddilove was the new chairman after I had to closed the Branch down after both my Sec/tres. died you did know them great persons and very good supporters of UKIP.Having lost the two main members of the branch and they could not be replaced I did try to carry on but in the end I had to close it.Any way some months after they open up the branch again and I was made treasurer and Mr Waddilove was the chairman then things went wrong at a meeting I was not there at the time and the rest is history now.Mr Farage will get in at Ramsgate .The PM talk today has done nothing to help the blues and the public know that.

I love this quote from David considering his numerous comments on here about Roger, seems it is different when they are members of his party.
"Mr Little told the Express he had "nothing to say" about Mr Price's resignation, but added: "I'm never going to get involved in personal comments."

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

You would think this man would have had the decency to inform the membership first?
His account of his experiences in deal high street, are some what confusing?
I have an e/m from him celebrating and kicking his heels at his attendance on the day, in fact! He was positively full of himself.
The Dover ukip branch have a very strong membership, that will insure the voters of Dover and deal will get the very best ukip candidates for there votes, regardless.

To be honest Keith UKIP look a shambles locally organisation wise, how many more useless chairpersons can they have?
I exclude rippers from the above comment.
I have been blocked from posting on their Facebook page and despite my polite request asking why I have not been replied to. I suspect it is due to my not using foul language.
