It would be hard to find anyone in the UK with a closer association to Putin than Lubov Chernukhin. The stench is almost overpowering.

Not due to sanctions BUT BMW Mini used to get their wiring looms from Draexlmaier in Romania, but switched to Kromberg & Schubert in Ukraine in 2019 to save a few pounds.
BMW is halting its Munich, Dingolfing and Oxford Mini plants next week

Hmmmmm. May I ask why you chose to introduce yourself in the Politics section relating to UK Sanctions?

I’m beginning to confuse the honours list and the sanctions list. But I suppose it doesn’t matter.

A brief explanation why so many are desperately trying to cover their tracks.

Sorry not about sanctions but is Putin completely off his rocker by shelling so dangerously close to a nuclear facility or does he simply not care.

I hear that Sainsbury's are going to donate all the Russian vodka they're pulling off their shelves to the homeless.

Does that indicate where the Russian bank assets are located?

Taken directly from Rees-Moog's twitter feed, no? No sources but let's assume (naively) that it is factual. Should we really be celebrating the fact that so much dosh has been laundered through Londongrad?

There is some honesty and compassion left in the party. I suppose we should be grateful for small mercies. Given Patel's blatant, if predictable, misrepresentation in the Commons yesterday, it's good to know.

So lamentable for a country like ours. Lies and obfuscation from our elected ministers. I'm genuinely surprised that the BBC have had the bottle to cover it.

I guess Pritti Patel was right when she said in the HoC that our system is "very unique": according to the BBC, 'the UK has retained controls on entry, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson saying it was "sensible" to "have some basic ability to check who is coming in... and who isn't"'. I hadn't realised that we have a global tracking system, but I suppose he should know.

1. Russia vows it 'will not forget' in direct threat to UK as Putin rages Ukraine sanctions are like a 'declaration of WAR'
2. Russian agents have murdered people in UK. See Scripal and Litvinenko.
3. Russia has a history of putting 'sleepers' in to foreign countries, see
Anna Chapman and others (Google 'Illegals Program')
4. Many Ukranians speak only Russian.
5. GRU have history of providing excellent forged documents.
6. Idiot Roger Gale thinks we should waive visa checks on all claiming to be Ukranian refugees!
N.B. All refugees are in safe civilised European countries and most will wish to stay with those who share Slavic languages/culture etc.
(Ukraine ambassador to the UK: “UK is a bit further for Ukrainians, they want to be a bit closer to their roots to their nation.”)

Hm, well, I'm guessing that 2 and 3 happened despite visa checks and that 5 is designed to negate such checks. As for 4, the smart thing for Russia to do would be to pass its agents off as, oo, German or Finnish or Scouse or something (and definitely not carry any of those dolls within dolls toys).
The thing is, visa-free Ukranians are already in the Common Travel Area courtesy of Eire, but panic not - even if some are covert Russians, Deal doesn't have a cathedral, so unless they're starting at chapel level and working their way up, you should be OK.
