Idiot Roger Gale thinks we should waive visa checks on all claiming to be Ukranian refugees!
Perhaps the real idiot might be the Foreign Secretary who dismissed his security to go and get shit faced for a weekend in Italy with the son of a KGB spy. Oh, and then had him elevated to the Lords.

Apparently the Ukranians think otherwise Ray - but perhaps they are more worried about more important stuff than who went on holiday with whom and such as #cakegate or whatever else is putting up your blood pressure today.
All sounds a bit pathetic when you think about it innit?

OK. I get it. Women and children fleeing a war zone are security risks but the son of a KGB spy isn't. Strange.

Yup.
Third secretary at Russian Trade Delegation, KNOWN GRU operative = not security risk.
Woman with children claiming to be Ukrainian refugee = possible long term security risk.
Funny old world.

It's tricky, I grant you. How would you rate the risk posed by someone in Spoons muttering and clutching a placard saying "I'm an undercover Russian agent"? Makes you nostalgic for those simpler days when SB intercepted obvious subversives, ie. those in duffle coats or NCB donkey jackets or carrying guitar cases...

I wonder how anyone would categorise a old pub customer who when I last saw him about 20yrs ago was quite openly an active communist follower who said he had been to Russia. I am sure if he was still alive he would be in favour of the sanctions and definitely against what Russia are doing with the targeting of civilians.

This from that well known leftie Peter Oborne.
"Let’s imagine that Corbyn had somehow won the last election. That he had then filled up Labour Party coffers with Russian money; that his party chairman had an office in Moscow to advise oligarchs; that Corbyn personally had repeatedly visited a Russian oligarch whose father had been a KGB agent and close friend of Vladimir Putin, and that he had been reported to have ignored security service objections to secure this friend a peerage, and funnelled government money towards his paper.
For day after day there would have been front-page denunciations of Corbyn. He couldn’t have survived. In my view rightly so. Yet Boris Johnson is the one who’s done all of these things. But Corbyn is the one who’s supposed to be pro-Putin.
This is deranged."

Ray, were you to Google 'Johnson Lebedev' you will find about 3,040,000 results, more than enough to keep you copying and pasting until doomsday!
It's hardly been un-commentated upon whatever the blessed Oborne might say .....................
Do keep up at the back.

In which the geriatric leader of the free world gives Putin the green light to do what the Hell he likes in Ukraine?

I want to be clear: We will defend every inch of NATO territory with the full might of a united and galvanized NATO.
But we will not fight a war against Russia in Ukraine.
A direct confrontation between NATO and Russia is World War III. And something we must strive to prevent.
I despair.

Day 15 of the Ukrainian conflict and here’s a sanctions update:
Russian gas still flowing West
€600m a day of EU cash still flowing East

Reminder that Germany pays Russia €2 million an hour, every hour, for gas and oil.

Incoming for Ray!
“We all need to be alert to the risks. Labour’s largest corporate donor in recent years was from a Chinese Communist spy, giving almost £700,000 to Labour regulated donees and local Labour parties. During the 2019 general election, the Labour Party distributed propaganda from a disinformation campaign by hostile Russian actors.”
