New Marina Pier opens to public for first time

Dover's new Marina Pier opened to the public for the first time late yesterday afternoon. As news spread of the opening, more people headed for the pier to be among the first to stroll out to the end of the new structure and take in the views of the seafront, town, and the redevelopment work going on at the Western Docks.
Apprentices take centre stage in Kearsney Parks restoration

Two new horticultural apprentices have joined the Kearsney Parks project team at Dover District Council. Janiene Davenport and Joe Beaney will be learning their trade on one of the most exciting garden restoration projects in the south east as work gets underway to restore Thomas Mawson's landscape at Russell Gardens.

A cocktail/lounge bar in Dover is giving a warm welcome to news that it is the latest business to be awarded a grant under Dover District Council's Town Centre Business Grant Scheme.
