I know that he is deperate but it's reported that the Tories are after getting advice from Peggy Mitchell about stuff. I think that Peggy wont be as forthcoming as they are hoping, mainly because she is fictional.

I've heard that Cameron is getting his top aides to contact Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtree, Hattie Jaques and others because if he wins the general election he wants them in his cabinet. Failing that he'll be getting them to star in a new film with him, Carry On Conservative anyone?

At least he would have a cabinet of stars (albeit dead) from a very successful series whereas Brown would appear to have recruited his cabinet from Chipperfields circus.

That should go down well on your attempt to rejoin the Labour Party Ken.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Apparently a TV company are in the process of making a drama about Cameron , Johnson and Osbornes early years and their membership of the Bullingdon Club.Should be very enlightening and hopefully entertaining.
As for Bozza he is a complete clown and should belong to a 3 ring circus along with the other 2 ********* Cameron and Osborne...an old joke I know...

I think therefore I am (not a Tory supporter)

John, regrettably the Labour Party as I once knew it no longer exists. The Labour Party I knew promised to take care of everyone from the cradle to the grave, so people gladly contributed by way of their national insurance payments etc. However the current government has let the coffers paid for by those who should now be benefitting, be bled dry by free loaders and those who have never contributed a halfpenny.

ken
much as i agree with your comments about national insurance payments, this was a fraud perpetuated by both major parties.
i was told clearly when i first started work, i was informed that n.i.(a large chunk of my 6 quid a week) was an investment in my pension.
30 years later i was told gleefully that was never the case, each contribution i had made was to cover existing state pensions.
then later i was told that there were not enough current taxpayers to cover for me when i needed it.
can you imagine a private company coming out with stufflike that?

But Ken is right, that so much of our money we pay in taxes or National Insurance, is now given to people who have never paid a penny in and shouldn't be here anyway.
He is also right that the Ragged Trousered Philanthropist old Labour Party days, died years ago, along with many of their socialist policies; now it's just screw everyone and give it to those who don't deserve it - yes I know there are many who do deserve it and rightly get those benefits, but so many - an increasing number too, simply should not be getting a National Insurance number, which then of course, entitles then to a pension.
So many bad/wrong things have been done over the last 13 years or so.
Roger
FFS - that large number of people "who shouldn't be here anyway" (criteria please) is small - of course there are inequalities, but the numbers and effects are blown out of all proportion by the Littlejohns of this world. And what would you do with all those people who cannot work (not the don't-want-to's, the can't-because-i'm-sick-or-disabled)? Put them in the workhouse?
In addition (I am afraid you have set me off now) some of the last 13 years have been a bit of a mess, but let's have a look at some of the Blue years. Every government has disasters, eejits and ne'er do wells it could have done without, and at the time they all seem to be the biggest ever **** up, but we move on and get over it. the next government (and I pray nightly for a Monster Raving Loony majority) will have the same path.

foot note, bring back spitting image for gods sake.
Sid Pollitt
Do you remember the Spitting Image sketch where Thatcher takes her cabinet to a restaurant? She orders steak and the waiter asks What about the vegetables, and Thatcher replies They'll have the same as me. Boom boom. I suppose Cameron's puppet would then smash up the place and the Osborne one would write out a cheque.

im sure you don't mean to make your comments sound the way they do???
John
Ken knows the Labour is unlikely to entertain his application, he made his choice when he left the party using cllr hansell's in the process.
Funny how Ken on here makes out hes so anti Labour, hyret every time I MEET HIM he's a true socialist Labour person!!!
And yep he even told me he wants to rejoin and support the party.
Of course its all freedom of speech
Funny old world though aint it!!!

Keith, as I have said before the Labour Party I knew no longer exists and neither does my application to join you and your colleages, and horror of horrors I do read the Daily Mail. I am also. a strong supporter of Ian Duncan Smith's paper on social change because it makes damn good sense, so make of that what you will as I quite frankly don't give any credence to your views on any subject.
