You know it IS correct it is a matter of fact. You know as well as I do about the small inner city rotten boroughs.
Do not ever try to boast of 'democratic' credentials if you cannot accept that an electoral imbalance that currently exists.

Dont want to silence you Keith, the opposite in fact. Just pointing out that you are in danger of hypocracy if you were to boast a support for free democracy and yet support a system that has an inbuilt bias in favour of the Party you support. I am not looking for any kind of electoral bias merely a levelling of the playing field so all Constituencies are broadly the same size. This issue will be in the Conservative manifesto along with English votes for English laws.

So they are all labour seats
and its just realy desperation to make sure the conservatives get in
not in the best interests of the country
I will watch this manifesto if and when it comes out

The changes will be made after we win the general election Keith. Interesting your contempt for democracy and determination to defend a Labour electoral bias.

BARRYW
Firstly you have to win, and thats still in doubt
Is in democratic barryw to do away with a seat because you could never win it?
would it not be better to go in there and try to win the seat?

Sid Pollitt
I think that the government are planning to look at electoral systems. I doubt a change will happen before the election though. BarryW's problem regarding cutting the amount of MPs is that the Tories will have to win the next general election to be able to make that change and after the showing last week there's no guarantee that they'll win enough seats to gain a majority. I feel sorry for them but that's the way it is.
