23:2913556Thanks for the information Alec, I wonder if this Charles who stood in St Albans in 2001 is the one. I dont know what is the case just told he'd fought and lost before.

00:1013693I had thought he was local because I'd seen that he was described as a father of two from Deal and asumed as no-one I know had heard of him that he'd gone to Walmer Sec rather than Deal Sec. Someone in the pub said that he'd stood before somewhere else. This guy also said that Charlie really lives in Mayfair or Belgravia or somewhere and when stood before [in St Albans I suppose] that he'd bought a house to be a 'local' in the constituency and had even registered on the electoral role.
This guy in the pub, who I must say is rather cynical, said that Charlie had bought other houses when chasing seats, with at least one other in Kent. ''If soup and fishfinger sarnies dont count then he's owned more houses than I've had hot dinners'' was how it was put to me, but maybe this chap is prone to exaggeration.

14:5414114The trouble is Keef that we dont know do we? You'd have thought someone would have let us know but they haven't, it's my belief that although many have met Charles no-one actually knows anything about him. I've heard that he's got a house on Mayfair and a hotel on Park Lane and that when he's at his 'holiday home' in London he wears a tie at all times.

15:5114124You lot really are boring going on like this. Time for you to get back to the real world and smell the coffee (or rather the poo Brown has dumped us in).
But then I just might set Charlie's mother in law in Shepherswell onto you - that really will teach you.

Iv always found Charlie respectful(although i did say summat once to him and the comment ended up in local press and wasn't to pleased with that, ut i learnt from it)
It is nice to know if Charles has these houses, or spends his time in Mayfair or wherevere, if he will have time to be In Dover.
Obviously people want someone who will be here to serve them, living locally not using a post code
or here for a few years.
Im sure charlie wouldnt do this!
