12:5335118I was out bright and early this morning taking a few photos. We had around 4 inches of snow overnight but it was actually quite mild and the sun is out.

13:0735124I was much relieved at 5.30am when I left home to drive to Canterbury to find the roads were clear, got into Canterbury though and thing were quite poor as they had it. About a quarter of the people did not arrive at our meeting because they were snowed in, mostly to the west of Canterbury. We were lucky to escape the worse, lets hope our luck holds up...

19:3035148How come England runs more efficiently through a world war than it does through a snow storm?

09:3135183I'll echo the comment about the photos - well done Jeane.
I'll also echo Rick's comment about a smidgen (compared to other places) of snow and were buggered.
It's snowed a bit more overnight and although it does indeed look lovely, it's a pain when you still have lots of things to buy, even normal day to day stuff.
Sadly I'm not a kid any more (that may be open to question !!!), so won't be going outside for a snowball fight or making a snowman.

10:0135188Finally the snow arrives properly. Apparently Deal has more than us, a very rare event, while Folkestone has hardly any. Bizarre.

10:0735189Still snowing in Folkestone.
Avoid the M20 Coastbound from Junction10 down to Folkestone / Dover, traffic stationary down that direction this morning, also hear Jubilee way is closed at the moment too. traffic mayhem!

13:3535209Beautiful pictures Paul. That one of snow on the beach is quite special, partly because of its rarity. Send it to the BBC!
Re: Colin's comment below, don't worry mate I was referring to the front page. Nice pictures from Jeane also, will post some of my own when I am on my PC.

14:5435217I`m used to PaulB`s nice pictures on here Andrew, but they`re Jeane`s above. Think you`ve mixed up with the front page mate.
