  just seen on the ddc facebook page that alkham valley road is closed due to flooding and serious pot holes developing.

  There's a comment on the Express facebook that says "Cheers Lucy-Jayne Amos i have driven through and its NOT shut only the road works that have beem [sic] there for ages"

  I was advised by a councillor who lives in Alkham the road is open for Access only

  Getting technical, the 0.5% Annual (1 in 200) Exceedance Probability of that address is 0.15 - 0.5 metres, page 46, where you can also find most of the flood risks for Dover town.
  
  According to my best efforts with Google maps and an Ordnance Survey map the property is about 230 metres from the seafront - all info that his conveyancing solicitor and insurers should have known.

  any solicitor would have pointed out such a problem prior to purchase but the insurer is totally wrong in my book by accepting the premium in the first place.
  
  this is beside the fact the roof was damaged by the wind and is unconnected with any flooding.
