08:0733314As a veggie I suppose I have a vested interest, but I do love a veggie fry up - and believe it or not the veggie bacon substitute is very tasty. One of the (many) reasons why I don't eat meat anymore despite a long Irish heritage of corpse-consumption is that years ago I discovered what went into sausages and other meat products. I don't think i should write on this open forum what was in there (!) but it put me off for life! I am sure that the upper end of the market is probably a bit safer, but I don't fancy it.
I agree, though: if we believed everything we were fed (see what I did there!?) about what was good/bad for us we would never do anything. Carry on regardless!! I enjoy my tots of Whiskey and my veggie fry ups!

09:4933331Yes, i think all these things in moderation are ok.
As usual what one scientist/expert may say, another scientist/expert will say the complete opposite.
So do you believe?

14:0233345My dad had a butchers years ago and as a child I used to be picking over pigs heads for some tasty bits for the sausages.... but that was the days before what is called something like 'mechanicaly recovered' muck..
I used to pick at the raw sausage meat too, to eat (safely!), something you could not dream of doing now.

18:0033355i had a suspicion that barry ate raw meat as part of his diet, that explains his politics rather a lot.

Thats cheaper than I can buy it for over here and it comes from only up the road!!!!Tesco must drive a hard bargain with Jersey Dairies to sell it for that price bearing in mind it costs £1800 per round trip ticket for a truck or container to cross on the ferry!
