Just been reading an article that tells us that the humble sausage is the latest food that we eat at our peril! They are the cause of bowel cancer we're being told. Now I don't know about you lot but I think there's nothing nicer than bangers and mash, toad in the hole, sausage egg and chips ............etc - how about you?
Honestly, if we listened every time we get told not to eat something we'd all be out there eating grass and drinking water!! Oh no - they'd find something bad in that too I would think
Where's it all going to end?
Well I think I'll just carry on eating and drinking what I always have, I've come this far ok - I think!

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

i could not agree more on this.
one of the great things that visitors take back from our country, is the breakfast,
sunday mornings would not be the same without our treat.

Jacqui yes you re right. Its much more fun to carry on..Im still bashing away at the unhealthy option like lots of salt, but who knows I may pay the price. But with that in mind I try to balance it up with a bit of healthy option as well. But the devil has all the best tunes and he has all the best food too, so gimme more fry-ups...

Jacqui, I know what you mean about if we listened to everything that was bad for us (we wouldn't eat or drink anything) but there are lots of horrible things in sausages. Much as I love them I limit them.
I don't add salt to food either now I used to but realisticaly food comes with enough salt already without adding more. Yes I still nick people's chips with salt on but it's very bad to use too much of it. Have the odd fry up Paul but easy on the salt or try thre healthy(er) salt!

Try the Sausage, bacon and egg roll from the take away sandwich shop near the Priory Jacqui,it does nothing for your colesterol, but it takes good.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

18:0333257Sorry, but those Cumberland sausages from the Tesco deli counter are very tasty, AND, while I have your attention here, do any other members go back to these early topics, or prefer to forget about them? I see some very interesting one`s here before myself and others came along.

18:3533268A full English Breakfast please - heart attack on a plate!! I don't have a proper cooked breakfast nearly often enough, but Jermains is just around the corner!
The one thing that really annoys me about all this nonsense is how difficult it is to find decent full-fat milk for my Weetabix! The semi-skilled stuff is just coloured water!!

i might just as well have poured water over my malted shreddies.
same with the coffere, just destroys it.

19:3733277Well if we believed and tried to avoid foods named in all these claims we would really be in trouble, nothing to eat and if we didnt die of starvation we would die of boredom.
The answer is that a bit of what you like does you good... try moderation rather than abstention.
I do have semi-skinned milk, Howard and dont notice the difference. I used to drink fully skinned milk every day once, now that is thin.
