I did hear this building was unstable had been condomed?
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
That's exactly what Dover needs on London Road - another takeaway. There simply aren't enough of them. We live in a fat nation anyway, so a bit more calorific fried food can only be a good thing. Sex is so cheap and nasty and boring anyway, you can get it all on the internet for free nowadays (email me if you want web addresses for all the best free ones).
It's going to get to the stage where you are never more than 10ft away from a takeaway or a charity shop, inhabited by prudish sexless Dovorians who's only outlet is the 10 minute RedHot Freeview!
Ah, I love this town

i have great sympathy for the residents, the take aways are open after the pubs close, therefore attracting the rowdy crowd who have no taste buds left by that time of night and would happily scoff a kebab made of vomit if it filled them up.
if they were licenced only up until 9 or 10 pm surely most of the problems would be solved?
Nice imagery Howard!! But true.

To hell with that, what's all this about Redhot Freeview? That wasn't around when I went to Lagos. What have I been missing?
Licensing another take-away really just brings home how out of touch and apathetic those who make these decisions are.
I suppose we'll get the justification choice, take-away or empty shop? My answer? EMPTY shop please.
PS red hot freeview, ten minutes of slappers who going by their facial expressions are constipated rather than interested (I know, who notices that!?) - not worth it mate!! I speak as a convent girl.............
Bern are you in the same convent as me????? sister Melissa

I suspect my time spent in the convent was a lot further back in the mists of time that anytime you may have been.......!! But it lives on painfully in the memory....!!

In that one run of shops on London Road I think there are already four Chinese takeaways (or is it five?), a kebab shop, an Indian and possibly a new pizza place too. Huzzah for yet another one.
A decent sandwhich shop would be nicer instead - I wonder what happened to The Pantry?
How on earth is that so-called reformed 'chicken' stuff in Chinese takeaways made anyway? I had one a couple of years ago from one of the LR shops and I had to bin it as it was vile. The great lumps of chicken just tasted like congealed fat - or something.
It has been pointed out to me that I should be clear: I only know about the freeview thingy because of channel hopping during insomniac episodes! It were something of a surprise to me as I had thought we still had an amount of restraint on TV - my bad!
Channel hopping? Ah yes, I do the same sort of late night channel hopping in the "adult" section accidentally when I can't sleep even though I can easily avoid it by going to "Entertainment" or "Movies". Eaily done eh?

sex-shops should certainly close down, but I too fully agree: please not another kebab shop! How's about an English breakfast shop. Mind, there are quite a few in Dover doing proper English foods, hopefully they will keep up, but may-be a few more coins in the pocket would help people go there more often.
I think there should be a citizens' subsidee of five pounds a day for coffee-shops, which can be spent in a one weekly solution or on a daily basis, or however the citizen feels fit, but in a coffee shop or restaurant. Something like luncheon vouchers.

Can I also add my plea for no more take-aways in that area.
I doubt if the existing ones want any more competition so I expect they will object.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
