Do we know if the fly tipper/s has/have been identified and if so what action is being taken against them?

The latest addition to the crypt has been removed, just the original rubbish remains.

My contact at DDC has said that investigations are still ongoing. She has briefed me but it's best to keep it under the hat at the moment.

Hi - this week is especially poignant for me as 40 years ago on 27th March 1977, my mother and my niece were killed in the fire at the Crypt. My niece who was five died on the 27th March and my mother died, three days later, on 30th March, my 16th birthday, in Buckland hospital. My mother and my niece were visiting my mothers best friend, Marian Clay who was running the Crypt with her husband, Alec Clay. Marian also died with her children, Shane and Sherry. A family friend, Anita Lee also died.
I would like to get in touch with anyone who was there that night and who can tell me more about what happened. I would especially like to get in touch with Lionel (Sonna) Clay and Tina Clay.
Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of my mother's death. It was hard to live without her.
If anyone has any information, I would be grateful to hear it. I can't believe the site is still so run down and neglected.

Paul (Watkins) says on the 'Dover's own Brexit Banksy' forum post regarding the former Castle Amusements building "Whatever the company status the site is owned by Godden family with possible business friends.".
Paul - can you tell us - Is the delapidated and apparently abandoned site next door ("The Crypt") also owned by the same outfit?
I know it is a listed property but who actually is responsible for its 'upkeep'?
Recent building work on the property next door resulted in building waste being ceremoniously dumped in the site. It was reported (evidenced earlier in this topics posts) and the builders made to clear it up. So the site owners are not that far away.

The same owners Patrick. And their responsibility. Suggest you chat to Planning Enforcement who have been engaged with the owners. It is part of Master Planning scheme being developed..

The empty unit between the Crypt site and the former Polska sop is due to open this weekend as a fish and chip shop.

Town centre businesses and tourism chiefs want a "tatty" sign welcoming people to their town to be torn down.
Bosses want rid of the Welcome to Dover lettering - and are being backed by Dover MP Charlie Elphicke.
He is also leading calls for a restaurant which has stood derelect for four decades to be cleaned up.
Talks and words, but no action. Whoever put the sign up can just take it down again surely?

DDC are notoriously afraid of using their powers under s215 of the Town and Country Planning Act. A proactive council would have had the Crypt site sorted 25 years ago. The overgrown site next to the Funky Monkey is a disgrace and the owners should be named and shamed. The Banksy building is owned by the Jimmy Godden estate and has been the subject of a s215 notice (largely ignored and not effectively followed up by DDC).
