That is why I remember it, his entrance was on the other side. I think he was the lifeboat doctor, I have heard quite a few stories about him and his call outs

Jan you are right again,and some of the storys are true,very good Dr and a hard drinking man,i was going home from work very late one night and came across him a sleep in his car up the top end of Folkestone Rd,I could not get him to wake up ,so i went and got is very good looking wife,and we got him back home beween us.

correct peter, i was standing on a path leading down from citadel road level with the hotel covered with barbed wire.
