01:2414822Does anyone know? I haven't seen hide nor hair of David Cameron all week which is rather strange. Before christmas he was making speeches what seemed like every Monday which became press conferences for their own sake and he made a speech on the past two Fridays I believe but since then nothing.
I dont know if the subject of last week's speech, progessive politics, is the reason for this. Maybe he's been told that he must abandon that line and try the hardline Thatcherite one, maybe not. Maybe the Tories will replace him with an oldtimer like they're done with Osborne. Hopefully he'll turn up but please not tomorrow and not with the same inane nonesense.

18:4014845Keith, how can you get bored with somebody you hear little about.
Anyway I thought the lesser spotted Camerons hibernated this time of year.

18:5014848Maybe Charlie has a spa hotel - as well as the hotel on Park Lane, the house on Mayfair, the electric company, the full set of properties on the Strand, Trafalgar Square and the other one - and Cameron is holed up there. Maybe they're going to do for Cameron like they did for IDS, hope for Dave's sake it aint a murder mystery break.

21:5414866Nope, but you were close. It was in the drawing room as you'd guessed but there was no lead pipe involved because the victim was a plank.

18:5714905You're right, both the girls went to Dover Grammar School for Girls (in fact Saskia still does) and a great school it is too.
I love the one about the cleverly flighted glass eye

21:2914968I haven't seen Cameron but have seen he's spoken to the papers, probably from the hotel hideway. I think that with his line on comprehensive schools and the suggestion that he wants to be a progressive this may, if we take his word at face value, be the turning point of his political direction between now and the general election. He cannot be a progressive, be understanding of social issues, hug a hoodie etc and be a hardline Thatcherite. This may now mean a good comp in every town, and a closure plan for grammer schools, but he looks like he is now taking the line of the IDS report and all that entails.

21:3014969Talking about State Schools and D C may sent his Children to one,it would be intresting to find out Charlie's views on this and if he has found a good School in Deal,as I know that there are some good Schools there.Charlie if you need a good Primary School could I suggest Priory Fields where I am Vice-Chair of Governors I know it is a little way from Deal but a nice friendly School.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

21:3214970Come to think of it, where's BarryW ? I reckon that he knows that he has lost the arguement and we've heard the last of him, I suppose that it was just a matter of time as even he knew that he was becoming more and more desperate.
If there is no posting by BarryW on the politics section by 10pm this evening I think that we can all agree that I am right.

21:4514976i am not sure that politicians should bring their kids into any argument about schools.
any parent would do the best for their offspring, their political beliefs should not come into it.
