I saw those ducklings yesterday. The yellow 'rubber' duck has done well to survive with that camouflage.
There was also a clutch of little moorhens there, very tiny.

the mild winter and early spring has meant that spider orchids are out much earlier in all locations including the hoe.

Beautiful at the hoe this morning.

One of the spider orchids, they grow right up to the edge of the path near the railway line. This one was about 3 inches tall in total.

And one from my den, not exactly wild but pleased it is third time it has flowered since we got it, they are my favourite flowers wild or tamed.

Thank you Kath for the pictures the reminder , I used to love walking through the woods with Pete when the bluebells were in flower or on a hot summer day.
