Snow is that white stuff which comes down in icy cold temperatures and is inconvenient for many of the Dovorians.
But it does bring out the good in People too and all that extra fun.....

bit of a contentious subject ms list and i am of the opposite view to you.

when it comes to snow I am like a little kid again :)
To be safe with a car in snow.... very simple get winter tyres and drive sensibly
Oh well I come from a snowy country and where we have white christmas and its somehow cosy too when you are indoors and watch the snowflakes falling on the ground ... I am sure somewhere Howard Mcsweeney you got a soft spot for snow

Only when Howard falls into a snow drift Heike.
I love looking at the snow while at the same time dreading its arrival as it means I become house bound until it has gone from the pavements.

Well according to the Daily Express we are going to have the worst winter for decades, they do seemed obsessed with the weather!

standard daily express rubbish, their weather predictions are always about raging storms, sizzling heatwaves, droughts, floods and plagues of locusts.
what we normally end up with is cloud, drizzle and a few sunny periods.

I find it rather funny. There are some good local weather people outhere in Kent area. Have not yet figured out if they are Members of the forum yet.
Peter Garstin, it is the best time to do the winter tyres now, As they are going up in prices by days now. Online, like tyreweb are good. We had them 2 years ago.
Anyhow. If we do get hit by snow that bad. Please shout if needed help, As I am sure, There are People outhere who would help. I definetely would.

For all of our snappers out there, do remember that cold kills batteries! So carry a fully charged spare, keep the camera dry and warm and have fun! Also, if a compact user then check if your camera has a snow scene mode, most do, and if a bridge or slr driver then remember the exposure compensation control, and remember to turn it off after use!
