Howard, I have exactly the same pics taken. as your last ones. If the Ambulance had proper winter gear, it would not of happend to them. That Day was chaotic as people still drove around in their summersocks (tyres) which is dangerous to others and walikg people on the pavements.
Unorganised winterchaos be expected again... for sure mark this space for more pics to follow 2013/2014

Brian, I will thank you as well as that took be back to my schooldays when I had to learn that lovely carol as part of my German lessons.
All I can remember is .........Stille nacht heilige nacht alles schlaft einsam wacht.............. which explains why I never got more than 27% at exam time, my French was not much better.

Lovely pix all round and nice one of the horse there above.
Many of the longer term forum members will be familiar with this pic from several years back..was used on our then frontpage at the time and one or two other locations.
Heron in the Snow in Pencester...thats the heron down there bottom right,
Was taken with the help of a weak wintry orange sun..

i remember that photo of the heron but cannot remember the year, we had one heron arrive in pencester gardens just before christmas and stayed for a month, sometimes walking around the bandstand.

Nice pics again,,and speaking of places of worship as per above. Here are a couple more...
One of St Mary's Church from the carpark next to it...tis deep midwinter and all's well.
I can hear a choir..."Hark the herald angels " they sing.
and calling the following establishment a place of worship is a tad blasphemous I know but just joking of course.
I believe this picture was taken while Peter G was still at the helm. Since Peter left and took himself off to biblical wilderness I have only been in there the once. I guess I was used to the oul geezer being there...lol!
We are expecting some rough oul weather this year according to the Daily Express so we might be needing plenty of them shovels.

Kath, I have seen this church the other day. even though its covered in the ivy leave it still have that feeling to go into it.
Its like stepping back in the past. I did like that feeling
I wonder wha is going to happen with that church now? Hope not flats... would be a shame.

Heinke - are you taking about Christ Church photo No.73? The church was taken down some years ago.

This winter we shall be travelling regularly between East Kent and Warwick, also down into deepest France, so.......winter tyres being fitted tomorrow. Last winter they saved our bacon several times. (Before you ask....different car!)

all that remains of christ church can be seen in the alleyway at the junction of malvern road and clarendon street or to the side of hall's newsagents.
