good observation vic, some of the best managers/coaches have either never played the game or been useless players.
arsene wenger, jose mourinho, gerard houllier, rafa benitez to name just two.

HOWARD
i THINK IT'S like Alan Shearer said on TV theres no covering this up, people like Rooney are being paid a fortune to perform, and they are just not doing so.
What ever the reason is, tactics, ptrob in dressing room, nerves, or whatever they need to sort it befotre wednesday.
At the end of the day England went into this world cup as world beaters, and like France they havnt got any where near it.
I do understand when you have time off wotrk to go to S aFRICA and spend £8,000 to get there thsat you expect better performances than up to today.
I think most would be happy if England lost to a good side, but played well, but at the moment the magics missing.
I'm hopeful for Wednesday, that it will all come good

there needs to be a few new players in the next match against slovenia.
seems clear to me that some of the big names are not handling the pressure well.

If any player isn't motivated by pulling on the jersey with the 3 Lions emblazoned on it, they don't deserve to be there. Playing for England should be a matter of pride, and I didn't see any pride on display on Friday night. Especially from Wayne Rooney, whose performances in the Premier League week in week out for Manchester Utd dominate the headlines, often against defences whose personnel are much stronger than Algeria's. To me, it clearly demonstrates that the pride of England's players lies in the size of their bank balances rather than the 3 Lions on their shirts.
True friends stab you in the front.

so it seems that even the world champions are having problems, mind you they always come good later on in tournaments.
i notice that the last bastion of french industry that has never gone on strike has done now.
well done the footballers, maybe they will blockade other teams dressing rooms?

A very good platform for Cheats, shirt pullers and over paid pillocks in my opinion. I fell over, didn't you see it ref. If there was a few extra smillies I'd use one or two.

lucky there was more patriotism around in 1940, enough people from overseas knock anything our country does, we hardly need our own backstabbers joining in.
I see the Italians tried to surrender to the New Zealanders but failes to do that even! Maybe our two draws aren't so bad after all?
I am enjoying the adult way the french are behaving , they are making Englands troubles look not to bad , and well done New Zealand to .

England did play bad but I still think it is a win for them later in the week by 2-0.
