It's long been considered derogatory by indigenous Americans not used by themselves but used to describe them.

What's wrong with 'What's wrong with Squaw?' is that it's making a basic category error.

Of course, it is madness, and more evidence of the age of unreason that is upon us, as if we needed any. But, again, it's not a 'gender' thing.

Listened to an individual being interviewed on the radio yesterday regarding the completion of the census form. This person was in a dilemma as the form apparently asks what gender you identify as being. The dilemma arose as this person had a number of different personalities and could identify as female one day, male on another or non- binary on another, so wasn’t sure how to complete the form!
I don’t know how the interviewer kept going!

To try and pretend we accept everything a minority group decide they want however reasonable or idiotic.

FPFW won its case yesterday. Judge found ONS Census guidance on the sex question to be unlawful. ONS must withdraw that part of the guidance. JR next week, but Judge appears to believe it's a formality.

Case shows just how high up the capture of institutions by the lobbyists has gone.

It’s no longer possible to have a reasoned debate or opinion on certain subjects- mainly race, gender or mental health. It seems to me that anyone who has a problem blames it on their mental health and it’s obviously someone else’s fault. It’s become the default position.
I have close friends who have a son-in-law of Pakistani heritage. His wife has Nordic heritage and we discussed the likelihood of what the baby would look like. My friends looked up genetical information regarding dominant and recessive genes because it was interesting- not racially motivated but to learn. We talked about it in a reasoned manner.
I currently despair of the outrage - no longer possible to have rational conversation.

Arthur, I agree completely, we are no longer free to discuss in a reasonable polite manner anything without someone either getting self righteous or just plain rude with their opposite view never mind the stupid 'snowflake' remarks.
As for the mental health issue I doubt there is anyone who has not 'suffered' from poor mental health at some time or another, a bereavement, job problem, home life problems, the vast majority do not go shouting about it usually those after attention or sympathy rather than having a serious problem in need of medical help.

Of course it's still 'possible' to have rational debate, and the FPFW case demonstrates that. A number of things are against it, though: the power of orthodox thinking to capture weak minds and resist independent thought; the tendency of print and broadcast media to enforce this; proliferating restrictions on speech, both formal (legislative) and informal (social media platforms); the power of minority lobbyists over government, parliament, civil service, and corporates; an increasingly politicised police force active in patrolling 'hate' speech; the unwillingness or simple inability of many to engage in it.

Perhaps it’s simply easier not to engage in conversation anymore

Well, that's the best way to lose a case.
This is excellent on how the lobbyists and their parliamentary committee work secretively to push through changes in gender legislation. At the heart of it is Tory MP Crispin Blunt.

Thank you for the article- a really fascinating read and very worrying. Led me to some other equally informative reading. I may sign up to The Spectator.
