These useless NHS bosses need to remember they are there to treat those who actually need medical help not cow tow to the minority with so many pointless jobs.

Margate again!

The NHS could also save money by not sending Covid jab reminders through the post when they have already sent two emails and an appointment reminder phone call.
I have lost count of the number of letters I have had since the jabs first started, just shows how inefficient they are with our tax money.

Letter to the Economist:-
Sir,
Bagehot writes of governments leaving behind policies to stymie their successors and cites examples from both major parties over recent elections.
In 1975 Harold Wilson set up a Royal Commission on the National Health Service to consider the "best use and management of the financial and manpower resources of the NHS", reporting In June 1979 (by which time his party was in opposition).
Over the past half century health provision has changed almost beyond recognition in both the potential for treatment and cost, and whilst almost all civilised countries have some sort of socialised health provision (the notable exception being the USA), no-one has chosen to follow our funding model.
As all politicians seem to wish to do 'something' about the NHS, might I suggest time is overdue for another Royal Commission to consider exactly what services we should expect 'our' NHS to provide for us as we continue into the 21st century and how we can expect to pay for them.
It would be a useful legacy for the future whichever party forms a government when it reports.
Sincerely
Captain Haddock

In 1999, the population was 58m with 1m NHS staff.
In 2023, the population is 68m with 1.8m NHS staff.
The population has risen 15% *but staff has risen 80%*.

The difference or trouble is we now need more staff to treat the medical issues that even a couple of years ago would have resulted in us dying or having life changing problems.
The problems that can arise are possibly due to inadequately trained medics. An example being a local GP who could not tell the difference between scarlet fever and heat rash even though it was obvious to the toddler's mother

Yes in some quarters better training and more of it is needed and talking the English language needs to improve.

Yep our country is screwed! The sooner the majority realise it, then maybe we will have a chance to save some semblance of it. Sadly none of our main parties give a damn.
