Always guaranteed to make me chuckle our Donald!
"If there’s going to be a war to stop [Kim Jong Un], it will be over there. If thousands die, they’re going to die over there. They’re not going to die here. And He has told me that to my face."
What a joker!

On the 9th of August when we celebrate/commemorate the dropping of the atom bomb on Nagasaki 72 years ago (almost twice as many killed in one day as over same period of time with conventional bombing at Hamburg but with zero loss of allied aircrew) it looks like the Donald could be building up for a re-play?

US Presidents speak of war in terms of video games, "shock and awe" from Bush now we get "fire and fury from Trump.

It is all too easy for those who have no military experience to offer military solutions.
Trump managed to swerve military service having received four educational deferments and one 1-Y medical deferment during the Vietnam War.
('Educational deferments' indeed! I'm still giggling over these. No wonder he appears so 'educated'.)

china will probably be pushing for a change of leader in North Korea.
Trump's military may see flattening North Korea as a way of turning Iran from its path.
who will blink first is probably where we are at, unfortunately.

The trouble is that due to the 'oriental' shape of Kim Jong-un's eyes it's difficult to tell if the bugger's blinking!

Of course, one cannot assume that The Henry Jackson Society is entirely neutral...

"
The regulator says it is assessing whether it has any regulatory role after a newspaper reported the charity was paid £10,000 to promote anti-China propaganda."

#353 Well, neutral does suggest sitting on the fence. I think you and I prefer fencing online.

Seems highly likely that North Korea will fire a missile falling short of Guam, the first real test of Trump's presidency. Hopefully he will keep a cool head and not retaliate.
