My only real worry about the new President is his lukewarm support for NATO saying that his country pays disproportionately into it. Add to that his support for President Putin and there could be a future problem for us in Europe.

I do not see it that way U,S,A, and Mr Putin working with each other could be a big help to us.

Back to fast good outlets David .
At least I did not marry one .

I hope that now trump will sit-down with the Russians and work out a safe protected area for all the immigrants to return back to the Middle East. If they don’t you may see le-pen in France and a right wing Germany.

Getting ever more ridiculous I think many people actually think that Trump will do all the things he spouted about during the campaign.

I wonder what the result would have been if Bernie Sanders had got the Democrats nomination? Yet again the metropolitan elite lumber their voters with someone they didn't want and we get the usual result.

Slightly off topic but here's an excellent article from the FT on how we 'ignorant racists' won Brexit.

FWIW today I broke my rule of not buying the Guardian to read the excellent two page obituary of Leonard Cohen.
Whilst I found his passing sad the Guardian soon got me chuckling as I read page after page of impotent howling at the moon from all the usual suspects, who having stopped all debate about what the man on the Clapham bus sees as problematic e.g. the fact that his/her country has been changed much for the worse by uncontrolled immigration, have just realised that in democracies we can still speak through the ballot box.
Presumably they are already planning the re-education camps when against the evidence of history we finally get to their centrally planned socialist Nirvana?
