His view on the world is what I like the most about him, wouldn't like to live over there though.

Could be fun if the President visits Windsor Castle, no doubt Her Majesty will take a quick inventory of her towels and cutlery before he leaves.

If Trump hadn’t got it America would probably be hedging for civil war.
The democrats just had the wrong candidate. A lesson for the labour party I THINK .

If Bernie Sanders had been the candidate he would be the President today.

I note that the recount has been called by the Green Party after crowd-sourcing to raise the necessary funds. What is up with the left and especially their vegan division? Such bad losers.
Last week I heard Natalie Bennet speak.
Brexit was lost because we did not have long enough to understand what was going on (it should have been a two year campaign like the Scot Referendum!), the 'wrong' question was asked, and 16/17 yr olds should have had the vote. Plus of course many people were told 'lies' and would now vote differently.
Moving on to national politics the reason the electorate voted for 'first past the post' when given a choice was that they were offered the 'wrong' sort of alternative voting system.
Locally I was shocked to hear that in the General Election those in St Radigunds and other 'poor' areas in Dover were offered their own special election leaflets as the ones the rest of us were given sent 'too middle class'.
On this last matter I suggested to one of the local activists that I had rarely heard anything more patronising and they should be ashamed of themselves thinking that poor people need to be talked down to with simple arguments since they are obviously far to thick to understand hard stuff like climate change.
The harridan started screaming at me that I couldn't say her behaviour was 'shameful'.
I pointed out that I just had and left.
Tossers.

We must take it as read that we will be lied to by politicians, that;s what they do. If you can find an honest one who speaks the truth about how he thinks, most people don't seem to like it. Corbyn seems to be one of the more honest politicians, and has been damned for supporting Palestinians, therefore becoming racist, anti semitic and a son of various devils. I'd prefer Corbyn to the buffoon Boris Johnson any day, a clown who can't remain faithful to his marriage, and who lies every time he opens his mouth, just a typical tory really.

Re #155 - couldn't agree more.
One of the things becoming very clear from recent events is that the citizenry are fed up being patronised and having things done to or for them. All evidence suggests that they have a reasonably good idea of what they need and want and all they need from politicians, the establishment and do-gooders is help/support to make it happen.
