All nicely put out but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
those of us with long memories wont forget Westminster hall prior to labour getting into govt
john Prescott roger bikerstaff ken livingstone
Where Prescott stated once in govt they would renationalise the railways
as soon as they got in the stated they couldn't afford to do it so they got railway people voting labour under false claim
many railway people never forgave him or labour
So here we are again and with a most unpopular govt labour should be strolling in
instead they will be lucky to hold on to the seats they presently have
castle, and Elms vale together with buckland could be won by any party
but labour must win most of them

Usually it takes no time at all to say nothing, but this chap took 47 seconds. If you dispense with the 'fairer', 'better' and 'pride' bits, which aren't measurable and are standard politician guff, that leaves only the 'manifesto commitment' to free public transport for over-18s in FTE. But since he didn't bother to explain how on earth this will go anyway to solving the problem he identified in his immediately prior sentence, i.e. a national 'lack of transport or very poor transport provision, especially in rural areas' caused by privatisation, he may as well have kept out of the sun and saved his digital memory for another occasion.

Looks like someone's gagged Nigel. Perhaps he was about to voice doubts that Charlie was an asset to the campaign...

A lot of people in Castle/Town ward going to vote against Conservatives after its sitting Cllr
defected to Whitfield
Although he wont care
Our "" I wont ever join a political party " D Hannent could lose out heavily because of his chum
there is all to play for
both major parties are getting the backlash of national politics
green party and mr wanstall*(indy) getting good stuff on the doors(unlike main 2 parties_)
As I say 1 unknown labour geezer
1 unpopular labour geezer
and an unknown tory
good chance of an upset in the ward.

I'm struggling to see the point being made here, the candidate is just telling us what we already know without coming up with a suggestion that might improve things.

I Don't agree Sue;
David lives in Whitfield ?? and standing castle?
Collor lives in castle standing in safe whitfield both are wrong
Going around Aycliffe today quite a number of people said they WOULD NOT be voting for the 2 major parties
R Walkden also said he was getting the same on the doorstep in elms vale

No idea how my ward will vote as it is new to me but I will not vote for either major party with the way things are.
Maybe like the Ukraine we need some real comedians rather than the blinkered professional politicians that we are stuck with who now seem to treat the public with contempt.

With the local council elections I expect the turnout to be about the lowest ever with a chance of a the odd Lib Dem, Green or Independent sneaking in but that is not necessarily a good thing as many of them are just flag flyers that never expected to win and would be clueless in the council chamber.
The European elections are completely different with people having a chance to back new parties that are totally clear on where they stand on the EU issue unlike our two main parties.

I'm voting Green just for the lol when they put up parking charges to £5 an hour like they have in Brighton!

Brian this close and no councillors doing door to door.. Still what we say never gets listens to anyway...As you know I have contacted lots of people from MP's, DCC, DTC etc and nothing ever gets done for local people and nothing ever gets done for Aycliffe. Only one DCC councillor has tried...
