Why on earth do some people think that we all have to have equal misery? That is the only equality that socialism ever achieves but even then some people have more misery than others.
So come off your envy kick Keith and Reg. Think of the minimum wage masseuse who is grateful for those who can afford to pamper themselves, think of the people who make Rolls Royces who must be grateful to those who can still afford to buy them.
I am off to have a slap up dinner tomorrow and, I expect, I will spend rather more than some on here would choose or afford to pay, but the chef and the waiters will be very grateful I can afford to do so.

Without this money being spent then they will be out of a job, simple.
So get off your envy kick Keith and others, join the real world how it is not how you think it should be.

The Ultimate Bank job.Wall Street Banks could have averted the Global Financial Crisis ( you know the one that Gordon Brown caused ) so why didn`t they?
They should be prosecuted.
Major Banks knew that `Madoff`was a fraud but never reported him to the authorities, instead they made money from him
but not with their own funds!!!!!!!

Reg - you still persist with a fantasy economy because the real one does not meet what you want to believe.
I include in that the comments about Brown - all he has ever been blamed for is the depth and severity of the UK economic problems. not the global slowdown which was, of course cyclical. As I have said elsewhere Brown thought he had banned boom and bust and ran the UK economy as if he really had.

# 1063....reminds me of the two differnt worlds.......
As a child have you ever known hungry days? toast with dripping for breakfast, yorkshire pudding with jam for Sunday
tea, followed a school chum eating an apple waiting for the core, had your nan take you to `Douglas Street market`to buy
you a`new`pair of secondhand shoes and if your luck is in take you to ``Manx`s,in Deptford High Street for `horsemeat`
pie and mash with wonderful parsley liquer?
In later life having the company chauffeur, who lived in Plaistow,East London, and ate at Manx`s regularly, take you to and
from airports, meetings in london and everywhere. On many such trips we would stop over at Manx`s for take aways of pie
and mash and wonderfull liquer and jellied eels.
Seeing both sides of the `coin`helps you appreciate what is going on in your country.
Imagine if our Cabinet Ministers had such appreciation,we may have had a cabinet with a Social Conscience and even a
chance of all being in it together.....
....such dreams..

As a post script to that, I really do wonder who on earth Reg actually thinks I am.... Some public schoolboy with a silver spoon!! How absurd.
A Tower Hamlets boy who went to Astor and left school age 15 is what am. Great granddad on one side a Romany, on the other side (possibly great, great granddad) Welsh mining stock who came to Kent at the turn of the century.
Everything I have is as a result of decisions and opportunities I had over the last 42 years of work. I want everyone to have those opportunities and more but, right now it is the sad 'big government' 'high tax' 'anti-aspiration' society so demanded by Reg that is denying this to current generations. Less can be more and lead to more - the benefit society is what we need a whole lot less of.
