The guardian is interesting reading , how many pro Starmer fans and leaders of councils, together with Labour MPs are no where near winning back the seats up north.
And many could be lost forever .

Brian
I hope that getting towards election day you will come to realise that things really are looking grim for Labour.
Locally I can't recall when I last saw a labour clkr, or heard from one .
Nationally they are just ripping themselves apart.
Unlike the Maggie days when she was so unpopular
As much as Boris has bungled his way through he isn't as unpopular in the North people still feel labour has nothing to offer
Then.look at Scotland nearly wiped out and not looking to recover .
Wales , just clinging onto a few.
Where, or how this recover is to take place I'm still baffled by.
I keep on listening to those in my area
And I'm sure it's much the same country wide.
People are just not going to vote
This will affect the labour party more than Tories
As the blue rinse brigade always turnnout

To have an effective government there needs to be an effective opposition otherwise the government can ride roughshod over democracy as can be witnessed by some of the current decisions on the imposition of cycle lanes. Local government is in the same position- crazy and I’ll conceived schemes can be approved/considered without due consultation and reference to the electorate.

The worry for Labour will be that even now, the Government could still snatch victory from the jaws of defeat if they 1) don't mess up the vaccine roll out and 2) avoid no deal with the EU. If both of these things happens, it leaves little wriggle room for Labour.

But now unconscious bias training's been found to be applesauce (who knew?), the forensic one'll be looking for a substitute gesture, and the next one might just be the pig that flies.

Well, A, as you're obviously alien to the wacky world of the great collector of causes, Sir Keir, I'll try.
Back in July he committed to undergo Unconscious Bias Training to put him in touch with, and presumably rid him of, all the prejudices buried deep in the inaccessible regions of his enormous forensic mind. I believe he passed with flying colours, as it were, and has a badge to prove it. Now the government is scrapping UBT for civil servants for the very good reason that it's b*ll*cks.
So, I merely wondered which cause The Great Leader of Our Great Future will take up to fill the gap.
Hope that helps.
