Indeed his policies were, but God forbid you should mention it you'll be called a racist and suspended.
It does seem you can criticise any race or nationality but do it to the Jews and you'll get a tirade on how bad they suffered and be branded an anti - semitic, I do wish they would get of that band wagon.

Any criticism of the State of Israel brings accusations of anti-semitism, the new NUS president found that out to her cost. I noticed after Ken Livingstone made his comments the media wheeled out every prominent Jewish person they could find to condemn him.

It is a sad state of affairs when we can freely critique and criticise every government/country for their behaviour, policies, treatment of minorities, corruption, ineptitude etc. except Israel..
if we do that we are accused of being anti Semitic.
But wait I am not anti Islamic when I criticise Pakistan for shooting down 2 Indian Air Force jets in the disputed area of Kashmir, nor am I anti Hindu or anti Sikh when I criticise India for flying their jets there and inflaming the situation.
Israel should not have a "get out of jail free card" allowing it to behave abominably to its neighbours and also its Arab and Palestinian natives (ok it does as the USA vetoes every motion critical of Israel at the UN) and we (the rest of the world) should be free to point out this behaviour without the usual accusations

Big row over nothing in my view though some might criticise his choice of words similar to the comment made by one of the new independent MPs last week. The fact is that nowadays hands are thrown up in the air and howls of anguish follow by the po-faced over almost everything whilst deadly serious issues are overlooked.

Astonishing that May can score points on this with Labour's own backing. The Tories must be throwing their racial epithets in the air with joy (and carefully storing them for future use when the climate's not so hot). As for Ed Miliband, he must have had a memory rinse: I recall that both he and his father were the subjects of much coded anti-Semitic vituperation from the Tory right (Press included) in 2015.
