Fun Fact - 17% more illegal immigrants (334) have arrived via the English Channel since the start of 2021, in contrast to the 286 who crossed illegally in January and February 2020

We live on a small island and running out of both land and cash it all has to stop or we will all be in a small boat looking for new homes.

News from the Augean Stable:-The government says the use of hotels to accommodate asylum seekers will end and it will bring forward plans to ‘expand the asylum estate to accommodate and process asylum seekers including for return to a safe country.’
Yeah right!
Outstanding asylum claims 109,000.
(For comparison Population Maidstone 107,627)
Can't see this happening!
Just imagine how long it takes to investigate if someone has 'well founded claim' for something that's happened in some obscure part of some far off country and is not (as most are) an economic refugee and trying it on and multiply by 109,000 outstanding claims.
Impossible task.

Sorry but what did they expect the Ritz, maybe they should have been given tents like those they had previously lived in.

Do you think if they had been given hotel rooms they would have stayed away from each other, knowing how they are sticklers for following the rules, that is?

No. Of course not. Knowing there was a significant risk, I'm sure they would all have deliberately infected each other simply for the pleasure of getting our health care.
