The Tory candidate is from Nonington but I don't think Gordon Cowan has ever been council leader.

I'm interested to hear Keith Sansum's views on this, he is vehement that those standing should live in the ward.
Cllr Sansum has long been accused of being Mr Cowan's puppet - Keith what is your opinion of him standing in Aylesham?

Keith re; 14
We are clearly getting information from different sources, I was told that Tommy's fellow councillor was by far the thirstier and is being disciplined by her party over her behaviour.

Anyone who has a letter published in the Weekend FT extolling the virtues of the mechanic in Folkestone who services the vintage motor-bike, which she still rides, is worthy of respect IMHO! CAMRA member. Does not suffer fools gladly. The Polly Toynbee of the Dover Labour Party caring for the poor of Aylesham from safe distance of her massive chateau in Densole where she does not have to mix with such riff-raff.

The local Labour party are pulling out all the stops in Aylesham with 12 of their number door knocking instead of being out Christmas shopping even Clair Hawkins was there. Bound to be a low turnout and with no UKIP candidate should be a walk over for Gordon.

He is strongly pro EU, he wrote a letter to the Mercury and I challenged him to a public debate.

I won't comment on the candidates, but with one being the daughter of a miner and the other a semi-articulate thug (the only Councillor who suggested I might step outside the chamber to 'sort things out!) I know who I'd be voting for.

This has to be one of the funniest comments posted on here in a long time.
This is the former leader of the DTC.
I'd rather have a competent councillor who is inexperienced than most of the experienced councillors that have made Dover what it is today!.
