andy
you may well be right, i know of off licences that were plagued by bored youngsters around their entrance, a strong dose of opera had the required effect.
keith
it was quiet last night, your mum must be suffering the same as me, she lives the same distance from the house in question.

HOWARD
Although she doesn't want to enter debate, she is annoyed at number of times ball comes over her wall and knocking at her door.
I have given her advice ;
to get
1; if she wants to give ball back, to close front door and pass ball over wall
2; If she doesnt, then keep ball and i would be happy to speak to the youths
and parent(s) if need be as to the reason why shes keeping ball
You can imagine it's a pain keep getting up and down to get the ball when your a little more of a senior citizen

i didn't know that keith far too much for her now to keep getting up and down.
i would go with suggestion 2, the parents would not know about it so they can then find what their kids get up to.

Sorry to hear about the crap you're going through up Belgrave Road. It's not right and it's not fair that decent, quiet, peace-loving residents have to put up with these selfish stupid little runts (and their dunce so-called parents) day in, day out.
Authorities: do something!!!

The fo;llowing is an extract from a school log book.
Altercation took place in a school room during dinner time between teachers and certain roughs who had entered the school and were preventing boys from practicing on the bars; 4 March 1885 Osler Boys School.
It would appear that despite every initiative instigated in the last 125 years the 'roughs' will endeavor to disrupt the lives of those who seek peace and harmony in their lives.
Ken, I think what you say is true, there will always be, have always been, those who disrupt and stray from a more acceptable path. We need to accept that fact without accepting the behaviours!!
Andy - poor parenting comes into it, but as the mother of 4, 3 of whom are still teens, I can vouch for the struggle there is with all the other pressures on teens, which seem to have increased so much in recent times. My son is a real gentleman who had a mere nano-second of a teen-blip, my daughters have had their moments (anyone with daughters will recognise the truth lurking behind those mild words!!) but on the whole are turning out ok - some more than others!! Consistent and firm parenting limited the damage that could have resulted from teen years, but it really isn't easy!! It isn't helped by, as you call it, the PC approach. I hate it when we get phrases like "pc gone mad" because I don't think it helps or accurately reflects the real and genuine positive purpose behind the drive to improve our society, but when it comes to child-rearing I am the first to use the despised words! No effective sanctions, no support from authority groups or figures, no real punishments or proper rewards (it is hard to reward a group that pretty much has all its needs met!!) lots of really appalling role models who run amok and get rewarded for offering our kids absolutely no incentives to behave well. As you can tell, I feel strongly about it!!
Keith/Howard, if Keith's mum retained the offending football might she not be accused of theft? At the risk of beign told I don't know what I'm talking about, isn't this a job for the local PCSO? If so, how does one go about getting them to the scene?
Bern, thanks for understanding what I was trying to say about investment.
Lastly, fully sympathise with those bringing up kids, whatever the age. I am still firmly in the pro-corporal punishment camp but confess to not using that weapon on my kids beyond the age of 4 or 5. By that stage they had learnt right from wrong and pretty much understood the list of sanctions that would land on their head if they continued to ignore the rules. Corporal punishment was the very last weapon, but they had to know it was there, and that it hurt (if only for few minutes physically and pride a bit longer).

As most of you know Keith is a PCSO himself and so I have been told(Not by him)That he is doing a good job in Folkestone.
Don't doubt it Vic. I rarely see eye to eye on politics but am able to recognise Keith's diligence and commitment when he does something.

My understanding from the postings by howard is that the priory PCSO is already dealing with the issue?
