Saw the 92a leave Pencester Road at 12 25 and all the seats seem to have been taken so Stagecoach might have to consider using the longer single deckers? Looking at the route it takes it could be that people from Eythorne or Elvington can't get on for a return journey because others wanting to get to the Hospital or Tesco.

They can always wait for the next 15 and pick up the 92/92A either at Lydden or Kearsney depending on the route. By then all the passengers for the hospital or River will have disembarked.

I think Stagecoach will have to look at replacing their small single deckers soon as most seem to be on the verge of being clapped out. They get through a lot of work and regular maintenance cannot hide the fact that they have seen better days.

I saw one of the above mentioned buses totally dead half on the verge on the sliproad to the Crem this morning, poor thing hadn't quite made it. It was still there an hour later with the driver looking a bit pee'd off!

The admin side of Stagecoach seem to have lost the plot, I posted here on the first day of the changes that they had torn down the old timetables but not put up new ones at certain bus stops.
This morning they finally removed the old timetable at the bottom of my road but didn't put up the new one!!

Was stuck in a queue behind the "flaming" bus at about 16.25. It appeared to be a minor fire in the battery compartment. Coming back at 17.40 it was hooked up ready to be dragged away.
In spite of what people may say these vehicles at pretty robust and safe.

Unfortunately the dynamic chap at Stagecoach who was behind things like the Diamond network and really increased use of the buses got promoted a couple of years back and the current management seem to be under orders to do as much as possible with as little as possible. On another point, they can't use longer buses easily over St Radigunds because of grounding risks on Hillside Road.

I'm still trying to understand the point of 314, maybe it is a new parlour game?
Timetables still not up at the stop I use in Folkestone Road and 101/102 seems to be having problems. I was told that when one arrived in Pencester Road the other day passengers boarded then another one pulled up behind let everybody off then drove off empty.

I’m sure Sue will realise that no malice was intended in any of the posted commentas and will accept them for what they are and raise a smile too! ( I reckon one of her hats was obscuring her vision when she wrote her posting)
