That's unusual as they are normally quite prompt.

On the service alterations page is says that from Sunday buses will use Barwick Road in both directions instead of using Beaufoy Road on outward journeys as a result of customer requests. This could mean that larger buses could appear more often on 89/90/91 - but not double deckers! It's Beaufoy Road that has restricted them to Solos.

That is very good for the residents of St Radigunds..Shame they did not listen to the people of River as it is so much easier to go into Dover via Crabble Hill.Swinging round Hillside is no joke.It would have been better for getting to Canterbury.

Possibly because unless it affects the people this continual moaning about the bus situation is of little interest.

Until the recent changes river was in the unparalleled position of being the only dover residential area to have a direct bus to Canterbury, since the changes they are on a par with aycliffe, elms vale, castle, most of Buckland, st radigunds in that you need to walk or bus to an interchange stop, hell even Whitfield on the Canterbury rd only has access via the slow bus.
I must commend stagecoach on this great levelling of the social classes, leading the fight for social justice! Three cheers for Philip Norwell

Temple Ewell and Lydden have direct bus service to Canterbury.River residents now have a twenty minute bus into town before they can catch the 15.The bus does not Go down Crabble Hill as it did before the changes.

I sympathise Sue, you've had something taken away that people are used to having, but the rest of us have always had to travel to an interchange stop just like the residents of River do now, consider it a humbling experience, perhaps you could visit deal I understand River has a direct bus their these days

Yes we do but not a good service back in the afternoon.I love Canterbury Fenwicks ,Waterstones ,large Marks and Spencer to name but a few.some River residents have to go to Lydden for the Doctors surgery.Still not to worry..I used to travel to DDC at Whitfield changing buses at Hollis gararge for years.

Of course River did not have a direct service to Canterbury before the 15B was introduced five years ago. It then became a very useful link - but for too few as far as Stagecoach was concerned, or it would still run. I suspect poor payments for Concessionary passes would not have helped.

More locally, Poynters of Wye shut down without warning in August after they lost their KCC contracts to Regent.

Saw a small newish looking single decker on the 91 route earlier, always been a geriatric double decker up until now.

I am led to understand by a leading local politician that they have found a solution to the issues around the buses to and from River going via St.Radigunds. St. Radigunds is to be renamed 'lower River' thereby solving the problem once and for all.

Ha ha last two posts .River Is a Parish. perhaps you could get your Councillors to get Bunkers Hill resurfaced .and to get some of the rubbish in Coombe Valley Road .cleared .I might add one of your Councillors lives in River and never uses a bus .

One of the problems I warned Stagecoach about in tying town services to long rural ones was evident this morning - as I was going into Canterbury at around 1005, the 0930 89 was just leaving (hotly followed by the 1000 to Aylesham!). I wonder what time residents of The Ridgeway got their bus?

The pressure continues, on stagecoach who are not just going to roll over.
Raised loads of petitions at a local event in pencester recently,
Ministers, local MP being contacted and shadow transport ministers.
pressure has to be kept up, bearing in mind do nothing and many will be become house bound
