Big game for the Lynn who really have to win to have an outside chance of staying up.

I went to the Manager/chairman question time.
Most present were supportive of club , and the theme was around next season .
It appears that the club are looking at the big difference between the national League (where the chairman reported it would cost around £4m to compete ) and next season's national League South where he stated it would cost around £400,000
The chairman's aim was to gain sponsorship for the season (which has its doubts )
But the one view I did find strange was that when asked do you think we could return to national League ?.the answer was around affordability and although very prudent for the club, showed a lack of ambition (not wanting promotion) so it did leave some confusion as to what Dover would do should they win league(which at this point is unlikely )
We look at the National league South where it isn't going to be that easy with some clubs being financed by wealthy chairman , some full time clubs .
And Dover still looking at whether or not it can financially compete even at that level.
Iv watched many games home and away and for me I have supported Dover since the 60s and there have been great times , and sad times , but I will always support my home town.
But It does concern me when I see managers home and away shouting at players instructions , encouragement , etc and the Dover manager often motionless or just sitting in dug out .
So I thought I would ask this question bearing in mind crowds down from 1,000 to 500
I'm aware of of quite a number who are staying away all time present manager in place , don't get me wrong here he has done well to get many loan players in, and links there in.
But the shortage of motivation during games is a serious concern .
The chairman quickly defended the manager which was expected as he had just signed him for another season lol
But neither excepted this may be an issue in fact went on for some time defending the manager
All if that's fine if the club feels that is the way forward and it works , but I do have my doubts as many others do when I see really passionate Dover supporters staying away there's concerns .
I'm hopeful the club can survive even at this lower level, but it's better to put it out there rather than pretend there are no problems .
All Dover can do is dent others promotion ambitions this season, and it has been a good ride at this highest non league level , but we should enjoy this last season at that level .

There's a ticket offer for Saturday's game.
If you are a National Lottery player you will be able to buy one ticket and get one FREE for Saturday’s game against King’s Lynn Town at Crabble (3pm).
This offer is part of The National Lottery Football Weekends and is open to every paying adult who presents a valid legible National Lottery ticket upon purchase of a full-price match ticket to a game.

Good point today if only against another one of the league's bad teams.

The NLS is a great league with some nice teams in it. The national league is lots of teams trying to play at being professional, or fallen giants. NLS is the first level where it's not the "commercial football". I personally love the league Dover are headed into it. If only Margate were back up there for the derby!

Agree with this, DFL. We are miles out of our depth at the moment, on and off the field, so some time to recuperate will do us good. A period of rehab, if you will.

I understand this and have said this for some time but was denied by the present chairman and manager .
Now I think the club is in dire times expecting to compete by sponsorship it doesn't have .
It's going to be a lot harder that supporters and others are expecting

Sadly after matching Maidenhead for most of the game and the Dover keeper having a great game .
With Dover youngsters Dover lost to a final minute of injury goal .
Well worth a point , the game was also marred by an incredible sending off of a Dover player .
It appeared after two players challenged for the ball the Dover player was sent off .
Certainly not a sending off and im not usually critical of referees as iv been one and I know how hard it is .
Up until that point he had an ok game
Although I think both sides should have had a pen.
Never mind though
Next up

Dover actually won 2-1 today to finally erase the 12 point penalty. Just slightly too late!

I'm glad im a real supporter and witnessed Arthur's winning goal, worthy of goal of season
Having had pen decisions go against them many times during the season , to get one that was very dubious showed it is swings and roundabouts .
I think just on performance level and passion Dover deserved the three points .
You could see why Borehamwood had lost a number of games and struggled to get into the game

Finally the last game of a painful season this afternoon. At Crabble v Weymouth.
Parmenter is making a “major announcement” after the game. Hopefully he’s found a buyer.

According to the club website there will be a lap of appreciation, then the players will be getting changed and then the Parmenter announcement will be made in the Centre Spot.
I shall be home by then and be relying on the internet. Big skittles game to prepare for.

The announcement was the signing of a sponsorship deal with Megger.
On the field, yet another injury time defeat despite a rousing 2nd half performance, Weymouth helped by a useless referee.
