i don;t think i have ever seen a thread move away from the original point so far.
i think the point was that we should at least turn up at the polling station tomorrow, even if we write naughty things on the paper.
if we do not, the politicians know that they can do whatever they want, using the excuse of "they don't care what we do".

I know the LOCAL politicians do care, but we do need councils that have small majorities, so they have to work with other parties.
The cabinet system closed down debate, and decisions that were supposed to be quicker take even longer now.
District council now run by cabinet
Cabinet system was never a good idea, gives to much power to a few
Please people - just VOTE!!!!!!! Your vote was hard-won and earned by better people than me and maybe even you so please don't waste it. There are so many societies that would be grateful for the opportunities we have, and it is our best tool in the political arena..

Well I have had a few political papers through the letter box but not one knock on the door. No one asking who I might vote for or telling me why I should vote for them.
However here we are just hours away and I still am not sure who I should vote for and why, but I have never missed a vote and I will not be missing this one.
Just have an awful thought that I am confused.com.

The door knocking is done by volunteers Harry and it is difficult if not impossible to get around everyone. The Parties tend to target their door knocking to where they can idenify the greatest volume of supporters in the first instance. Other areas are either done between elections or during if the targeted canvassing is up to scratch. Gone are the days when you could get around everyone.

I have just cast my hard earned vote, bumping into stalwart tory supporter BarryW struggling uphill reminding people to vote.
