this seems to have moved from the front of the centre to inside.
this unit has changed hands more times than i can count, hopefully this will take off.

A couple of the shops inside the Charlton Centre started off in that small unit.
I know this craft shop has been praised for its diversity of stock, I guess it is a case of the usual use it or loose it.

we are told that location and shortfall are of paramount importance but in the case of crafts.hobby shops this is not the case.
word of mouth by similar enthusiasts is more important, i kept tropical fish for years and the shops were always off the beaten track so there is no reason for the one in the centre not to take off albeit slowly.

I visited the new shop where Capper's butchers used to be the other day. I pointed out to my wife some bagged dried products labelled simply 'As Whole'. When she burst out laughing we had to leave.

Went through earlier and My Patina'd Heart has moved inside to a larger unit with a gaming business taking over the old one.
Kavernel has closed and the café is now opening on Sunday for traditional roast lunch.

Went through this afternoon, the shop at the very back which has recently changed hands was locked up and the emporium that seems to sell anything and everything(formerly the butcher) had shutters up.

The one at the back is still closed but with advertising boards outside whilst the new emporium was doing a roaring trade earlier.

The one at the back has a hand written "To Let" sign in the window despite being fully stocked up inside.

I am surprised anyone takes that unit it is so out of the way and only really visible to those who enter or leave via the car park.

Its surprising how many do,i think its the cheapest one in the centre to rent.Quite surprising how many people walk through on a good day.I think if you had the right stuff to sell you could get a living from it.

If only that walkway from Morrisons to the front of the Charlton centre was more pleasant a lot more people would walk through and potentially shop in the Charlton Centre.

Free Parking for centre users only might also help.

All the very best to the new manager, my suspicion is that the owners would prefer to see it all turned over to housing.
