tonight is the night, a new mayor will be elected to stand for a year in our illustrious town.
who is favourite?
maybe it should be someone not a member of a political party?
terry nunn is not interested, keith is too tall for the jewellery, blue ken is away a lot working on our exports in an effort to cut the deficit, paulb is a foreign national(therefore could be a spy), doesn't really leave many left.
any other suggestions?

I don't know why we bother to discuss this matter. We ALL know it will a Labour Town Councillor (instructions from local HO as usual), and it will be whoever is next on the list for bling wearing. This farcical annual merrygoround was one of the reasons the Indies came into existence.

You are right Vic I would need a dress, battledress. But why hold a council meeting to discuss who is to be the next mayor? The Labour members were under orders to elect Councillor Cowans as Mayor with Councillor Revel as his deputy. Now which Labour councillor is going to have the courage to dispute that fact.

that is so depressing ken, no problem with gordon - hard working bloke, is the other one the pretend councillor for my area?
incidentally the bling did suit you, whatever people might say.
He was also very fetching in red and ermine Howard.

Congratulations to Sue for being chosen as mayor for a second term. Well done also to DavidH, surely an outsider, in being chosen as deputy. What a surprise!

Congrats to both Sue and David....
Well done Sue, i personally think she is doing an amazing job. As for the belief that revil was hoping to become deputy mayor made me nearly cry with laughter
