Im breaking Purdah as it appears other councillors are doing so .I stuck to the rules as I was always told it could effect an ongoing election .
I have only one thing to say at the end of the day 22 years service ,the highest vote in the district ,always speaking the truth and always sticking to my principles counts for nothing .Nearly forty years in politics
Fully committed to all the people of the district ,record of attendance second to none .Its a very sad day and politics is a dirty game .
I will always work for all the people all of the time .
make what you want of this posting .
Councillors do not have record amounts of redundancy money nor do they have the right of appeal .
To be true to one self is the only reward

Hi Sue,
Nice to see you again on here. You always tell it like it is and don't look for praise. Pity there aren't more councillors, of any party, with your standards. You hang on in there girl - Dover needs you.

Good to see you on again Sue, you're a woman of principle, a girl after me own heart!
As Jacqui says 'Hang on in there'
do we read into Sues posting that something is changing? either her choice or not!

I hope not,Sue and I are friends, but it is the time of year when the Holders and Shadow Holders of Portfolios are up for election.I have just put my papers in and I know Jan has, then it is up to the leaders and the committees to decide if I and Sue keep our positions on the front benches of our political groups. The next week will make it clearer.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Interesting, no rep0ly if Sue still in cabinet!!!!
I'v said before Sue works hard for the District, and like a few cllrs has a personal vote which she showed when she crossed the floor from lib dems to tories and held the vote.
But SUE like a hand ful of cllrs work hard for the district/town.
I wouldn't want to congratulate just SUE when i could name a few others from all parties who work as hard as or maybe harder in some instances, Sue does her bit, as do many.
Being in politics for 30 years myself I know you can expect no thanks, and if you do job properly have your family life seriously effected.
The playground issue is one of interest to me, and i know SUE of old would not have given up on this without a fight, so i have now seen a new SUE but maybe if she has been ousted from cabinet we will see the old Campaigning SUE back.
As I say theres always a worry when cllrs stop posting cos officers say so, Iv challenged them many times, and often found them wanting.
Can Sue/.Nigel/Roger tell us if they challenged the officers decision to silence them?

No one has told me to be quiet, Nigel is a County Candidate, so that would be why he's not posting, I can't speak for Sue.
I really can't see a problem talking/writing/on non-political subjects.

ROGER
Sadly everything can be seen to be promoting you/your party if people want to sdee it thsat way.
And it is difficult to define what is/is not political as politics comes into our every day lives.
Now Sue is able to post(confirmed by her leader,or is he still her leader?)and Roger
then maybe she csan update Howard as many more of us are interested to.
I wont hold my breath on the cabinet question
