Is this new or has it been like that a while? I spoke with Coastguard and then national trust. They (nat trust) are going to look in to it as maybe access should be denied if it is unsafe. I was amazed at the difference between all three
This week's cruise schedule is as follows:
Tomorrow, Monday 26th August, the AIDAcara arrives back at CT2, PoC.
Then on Tuesday we have two cruise ships, the familiar Braemar at CT1, T/R & the AIDAStella returns to CT2, PoC.
On Wednesday, the MSC Magnifica cruises back to Dover once again (last seen here on April 20th this year) at CT2, T/R + PoC.
No cruise ship on Thursday, but on Friday 30th August, the Ocean Princess returns to CT1, T/R.
On Saturday, August 31st, the Costa NeoRomantica returns to Dover ( last seen here on 23rd May) at CT1, T/R + PoC.
Then on Sunday the 1st day of September we see the return of the Carnival Legend at CT2, T/R.

It is a tall Russian sailing ship called MIR and is bound for Barcelona.
The Russians are very much into their tall sailing ships it seems, you may remember some of the pictures earlier in the season from Dunkerque..and now here's another one passing in genteel almost ghostly fashion thru the mist. Can be seen right now.email: dover7@msn.com - 26 August 2013 09:23241957

The regular guys Braemar and AIDA Stella are just in..and they arrived in brilliant sunshine.
Dover was basked in sunlight for the arrivals as you can see here..
Here we are with the large AIDA Stella, all 71,000 tons of it, a few minutes ago
and as mentioned the smaller Braemar is also in but not shown here.

So far today nothing in but here is one from yesterday afternoon.
Its the Dredger David Chuirch doing what it does best..dredging.. at the west harbour entrance, but whats that slowly slipping by in the distance. Is it the Royal Navy? is it NATO? or is it even a Russian?
( The Russians seem to own everything else with all that money..why not the channel!! )

Coming up below and it is huge for sure..so big I thought we were having an eclipse..it blocked out the sun !
Weighing in at more than 95,000 tons, this ship is 294 metres long. Try parking this one..!!
It has just now arrived later than usual for a cruise liner. Plenty of tourists on it.
But first, this trio of young ladies were watching its graceful arrival..gazing out over a blazing sea.
