18:1130556Let`s have a third war in Europe, but this time, join the Germans. (No atrocities though).
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

19:0130673barryw,so many scare stories about the eu,its getting diffecult to weed out the truth.the eurosceptics are saying one thing the pro eouropeans say the oppisit.all this = confusion,so if some one in power ie,goverment,an eu rep high ranking spoke honestly with words every one can understand then and only then we will know what its all about, which in turn will help joe public and this means you as well barry will help make our minds up one way or the other.

19:2330678The history of the EEC/EC/EU shows that we have been lied to time and time again, combined with the clear distaste the EU has for democray that is all we need to know, better off out. That organisation is all about a Euro-elite gaining power for themselves.

19:5930691I never did agree with it and never will, I think this is the feeling of the public in general.
It's nice to agree to something and then jump on the gravy train, I think it's time it all stopped.

20:0430693better road repairs co-ordanated with utilaty companys, this means that say the local water company wants to lay new pipes they have do it while the road is dug up the same goes for all companys.better spread of council tax money for the up keep of the local area.have seen this in practice and it works better than our out dated system.and thats just for starters.

20:3730702HE HE Go girl. I like you.
Where did you get that claptrap Brian?
It may work over there but it dont over here. get down off of cloud nine mate and realise you live in England. The left hand does'nt know what the right hand is doing and we have people not knowing how to live without expenses, soon to become destitute.

as far as i can see there is no eu directive on concessionary fares.
are you saying that all 27 member states other than us stretch to free fares for the over 55's?

11:1030844There are things that must be left to nation states to decide there is absolutely no reason for the EU to have directives on such as free travel.

12:5730863i find it difficult to believe that the EU would have any say on such a thing.
individual countries would be financing it.
