Kent online quoted
When we come out of lockdown and high streets can open once again, the Dover parklets will help visually enhance the area, providing places for members of the public to rest and/or park their bike whilst shopping and then shows one outside the boarded up McDonalds site!
KCC says
The seating has been created using recycled plastic from the sea and the choice of planting will encourage bees and other pollinators. Should look nice in Cherry Tree Avenue with all those pollinators....

I think Sue is right I presume someone knows what our county members think as we never hear from them .
Likes been said already with empty shops this is not really the right direction to go ..
The KCC elections are in May.
This is not the first scheme put forward by KCC
(Remember the cycle fiasco)
All goes through our county members who must agree it
They are to silent

I wonder if the plastic will melt when a cigarette is stubbed out on them or the vandals decide to set fire to them.

I saw them whilst in town yesterday and they are hideous.Look like a load of plywood offcuts nailed together with a thick coat of varnish, from a distance they look like a load of old boxes been dumped.Dont know of anyone that likes them. They stand out and dont blend in with anything.

I haven't seen any yet, but haven't been down the town recently and judging by the comments, I don't think I've missed anything.
I drive almost everyday along Cherry Tree Ave and haven't seen anything there yet.

Saw them this afternoon- can confirm they’re as awful as has been described. Someone is laughing all the way to the bank!

I’d prefer the money was spent on some decent public toilets.
