This morning there were two people sat on the one outside Iceland waiting for it to open.

As I said time and time again we must make the town centre smaller by pulling down the top end moving any shops that are up there down and help them with lower rents etc for two years and the top end into housing but not flats with two or three bedrooms for rent or buy ,,well that is what I think might be wrong but can see there is nothing more to try.

Repost 2157.That has always been the intention. That is why ST James was built.Shopping area end at Ladywell ..Leave Cherry Tree intact as it is a Community within it self .
Everything to be centred around Market Square leading down to the sea front.
You don’t have to be a genius to understand the plan .The purchase of the Charlton Centre was investigated but that fell through .

I don't believe that the St.James Iceland do deliveries. The High Street branch were quite busy with those.

With the smaller Iceland set to close Farmfoods must be rubbing their hands.
I still have not ventured down to St James, why bother when I can buy all I need nearer to home or on-line.

Golden Stitches, Worthington Street: owing to loss of weight during lockdown (!), had cause to have the shoulder straps on a new dress taken in/shortened. Extremely good quality of work, price and delivery time. This is the second time we've used them; the first was to replace a concealed zip in another dress. Seriously impressed once again - and that's not something that happens often, I can tell you!

M&S announce £201million loss for the past year. More store closures coming up. Suggest everyone gets down to St James'. Use it or lose it!

Puts DHB's pre-tax loss of £3.4m into perspective!

This is scaremongering. M&S reported food sales were up.
Be more concerned with the likes of Next or the other clothes shops.

Oh Keef! You are a one!
Hypothetical question.
You are given an outlet in St James' rent and council tax free for a year.
What sort of retail/food outlet do you propose to open and make more than a penny of profit?
See 'Stembrook', 'Co-innovation' etc etc.
The second question Keef is who do you think should have subsidised your failure over the year?
I hear Evergrande are interested!
Just how many years ago did I start flagging all this up?
My only surprise is that DDC are not taking Council Tax in bitcoin.
Nice to see Nadeem Aziz has enough time off duties at Fort Whitfield to be in charge of nuclear submarine?
Meanwhile Rosie's least favourite musical is 'Trannie Get Your Gun'?
