They could open the port of Ramsgate the ports births are in place and they are close to Manston so let some go out that way there are ferrys that could come and help out of a few weeks. So the D.H.B, need to work with the port o Ramsgate and get things moving.

Not looking good today.
A2 and A20 blocked, roads down through the town clogged and a stream of foreign lorries and vans heading for the docks just along the A256 alone. The authorities have lost what little control they had.
Hopefully I can make it home from work later!

Can anyone give me an update? Wondering if it's worth me trying to get to work today (heading for Folkestone).
Barton Road hasn't moved for about half an hour. Is London Road the same? Wondering if I can get to Alkham Valley.

Came from Deal just now managed without too much prob to cross 5 ways traffic lights to Ladywell but a line of us had to go wrong side of traffic lights as other side blocked with vans but London road was empty, hardly any traffic at all, would avoid Barton and Maison du road complety blocked.

Anyone know what happens to the truck drivers who are tested positive?

Kent Online reports Mr Jenrick as saying that those who test positive will have to isolate in hotels, with the initial cost picked up by the government.
Or there again, possibly on board the Disney Magic

What a sodding mess; and there's still idiots going around blaming OUR government rather than Le Petit Granny Shagger!
Most of the hauliers seem to be EU returning empty plus individuals heading 'home' for Christmas.
They are now stuck in Plague Central waiting for a test which will NOT show if they have been infected in the last few days getting coughed over by Dovorians.
IF he'd wished to bring in testing, over Christmas would have ben an ideal time since there is very little traffic on Christmas day and an announcement could have been made that from 26 Dec testing would be required, but instead we have a dumb genou-jerk reaction leading to chaos in Dover and apparently US picking up the bill for testing AND hotel accommodation for those testing positive.
On the plus side at least Marcus Rashford hasn't yet demanded that the Government provides all in the queue with a daily hot meal.
