Dear Father Christmas,
I’d really like a new MP - I know I may have to wait but I’ll be very very good. Please grant my request. Thank you very very much!

In my opinion MPs should be local people who know the area that they are representing and not ‘helicoptered’ in from wherever because they fit the party profile and have been coached to always tow the party line. Ordinary people no longer have any faith in government because it no longer represents their values and views. Another new government is unlikely to do any better until they start actually listening to constituents. Of course that would mean knowing how to find their constituency!

Ladywell to be closed from the 12th for a fortnight.
I wonder how many people knew it was the B2245?

Meanwhile at the proposed new Thames Crossing , after 15 years we have spent £300 million submitting the longest planning application on record with a whopping 359,866 pages spread over 2,838 separate documents.
No sign of spades in the ground!

Never mind not knowing it's the B2245. I only found out relatively recently that that whole stretch of road isn't all Ladywell and that past the river it is Park Place.
Ladywell did get a proper fnar fnar from my Lancashire friend when they visited.
