I hear the 102 bus has had many cancellations since all the cutbacks adding to all the misery .
Often the bus runs so late the next times bus catching it up and you have two double deckers heading from Hythe to Dover having waited 25 mins for first bus to arrive
This adds to chaos trying to get two double decker through, with added road works

Lots of voluntary groups have taken it upon themselves to clean up the district due to the lack of action by DDC who then tag them in social media posts and try and take the credit

Whilst our roadsides look like the s**thole of the world i,m sure our local council will find something to waste the money on with which they save on litter picking.

If Eurotunnel are on strike, I guess traffic chaos here won't be long in coming...

The chaos has already started for Aycliffe they have blocked off the exit to Aycliffe city completely with cones and there is no warning sign.
One day they will eventually get it right with all the so called lessons learnt.. or do I live on n hope.
Th cones are put into place since that they are wide enough to let cars through but not Lorrie’s yet they have allowed a Lorry park on South Military Road. Joined up thinking.
Most weeks we have lost Lorrie’s coming onto the estate. Last week we had no her damaged car.

According to google maps the A256 is closed near the Girls Grammar.
The traffic was backed up to Green Lane / Brookfield Avenue when I left for work.

Drove into town from Gatwick last night, took around 45 minutes to get from the Castle to St James's - down Castle Hill Road.....at 1am!

I know I say this every time but why do they think the solution is to shut the Roundhill Tunnel? Every time. It just gridlocks all of the other routes into town and subsequently the entire town itself.
They say it's to avoid people getting stuck in said tunnel along with the fumes and the problems that would cause. If it's going to keep happening then I think it needs some intelligent traffic lights to make sure that the traffic never gets backed up to that point.
Was going to visit William Harvey today but noped out at Cheriton and turned around, using Crete Road West to get back to the Alkham Valley (and there were traffic lights for roadworks on the A20 on the way to Crete Road). A massive inconvenient detour on a crappy road but still quicker than getting turned off at the tunnel I reckon. Almost two hours to Cheriton and back.
Fed up with this. Lucky I'm off work at the moment.

She is also reported as saying “This also underlines Kent Highways’ planned routing for the Dover FastTrack system via Maison Dieu Road, where the traffic was at its worst, is flawed and needs to be changed.”

Not sure what she has in mind; perhaps up Park Avenue and Connaught Road?
